  • Brilliant location seated nicely in the Scottish Borders! We visited during the storm of the year and we were nice and cosy in the hot tub out of the rain on the Saturday night, it made it all the more special somehow! The whole accommodation is fantastically clean with easy access and trouble free parking. Would strongly recommend! Lovely family hosting us too! With plenty of recommendations and thoughtful touches.

  • Such a lovely apartment for a weekend away to just chill and relax! The hot tub is a fabulous bonus to relax in after walks in the beautiful surround hill areas. Lovely hosts and just a perfect stay, will for sure be booking again!

  • We had an amazing stay, great weekend to relax and unwind. Comfy bed, wood fire and the hot tub. Danny and Pauline were very welcoming, thanks guys for having us.

  • Had a brilliant weekend stay, the small thoughtful touches were much appreciated. Plenty to do if you want to have a more active weekend or good to also just have a quiet weekend in the hot tub. Friendly hosts and made to feel at home.

  • This is the second time we have stayed at the apartment and it was just as amazing as the first time and would defo book again in the future and highly recommend to anyone as a perfect stay a slice of heaven away from home just perfect .

  • Danny and Pauline’s place is a little slice of heaven nestled within the hills of Innerleithen. It’s the perfect apartment to stay at if you’re looking for somewhere to unwind and relax, which is exactly what we needed. From the twinkly fairy lights and Birthday banner, to the jam, milk and butter in the fridge (and Prosecco, the most important amenity of course), there were so many thoughtful, little touches that Danny and Pauline included in our stay. The hot tub and log fire were what attracted me to this apartment initially, and although they were brilliant, it was the friendliness and warmth of the hosts that made this trip as lovely as it was. A special mention to Pauline’s Mum (sorry if I’ve got that wrong!). She was an absolute gem, making sure we had matches and logs for the fire, as well as advising us on some fabulous walks. We would definitely stay here again and 100% recommend the apartment to our friends. Thanks again, Rach and Danny.

  • We had a fantastic stay over Christmas at the apartment. It was everything we could have wished for. The hospitality from the hosts was amazing with thoughtful gestures throughout our stay that made us feel so welcome. The hot tub, log burner and sky TV allowed us to really relax in style. Kitchen well equipped to cook a full Christmas dinner!

Authentic medieval mini castle with roaring log fires and all modern comforts. In beautiful countryside on the River Tweed. Ideal for exploring the Scottish Borders. Biking at Glentress 5 minutes; Edinburgh 45 minutes; Peebles nearby. Heavenly walks.
Enjoy staying in a cosy, romantic miniature castle with all the luxuries of the 21st century. There is a luxurious double bed on the top floor and a possible 2 extra single beds in the Sitting Room.
The rolling hills and romantic valleys of Peebleshire are some of the loveliest in the land. World class Glentress is nearby for keen mountain bikers and Peebles is full of charm, with an award winning chocolatier and plenty of interesting shops.
  • We had a really relaxing and comfortable time at Barns Tower. The views from and of it are spectacular. The house had everything we needed, and the open fires and massive bath with lovely toiletries were big bonuses for us. The lovely riverside walk nearby was great and the historic building has been sensitively (and comfortably!) refurbished. We can't fault anything about our stay and hope to visit again!

    Alison2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a must stay place for anyone. The attention to detail is exemplary, sympathetically restored to an extremely high standard. The circular tweed walk (around 5 miles) is certainly worth doing as it's on easy flat terrain. Roaring log fires in both the lounge and kitchen make for cosy evenings in. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

    David2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Well, how to begin! Barns Tower is amazing! The history is well worth reading, as well. The place is exceptionally clean and tidy. What a wonderful experience to stay in such an old building with so much character. The personal touches - bread, milk, eggs, butter, cereal, and fruit were so nice to have. For us, the location was perfect as we hiked the Tweed Path and other areas in and around Peebles. A definite "must stay" when visiting the area. Even if you are not, it would be worth going out of your way to stay in this incredible place. Thank you, Lulu! We absolutely loved your place...

    Catherine2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wee treasure. We had a wonderful time and loved the environment with the river and abandonned railway. The castle was very clean and comfortable.

  • A truly unique and beautiful place to stay. The property has all the amenities you could need. It is in a great location for walking and for a day trip to Edinburgh.

    Rebecca2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Castle is beautiful and even better than it looks in the pictures. It’s cosy and very peaceful. I’m sure we’ll come back for another visit. Cheers, Jack and Emma

  • Everything was perfect: a warm welcome with touches of attention, perfectly clean places, heated rooms, complete kitchen equipment, sufficient bathroom linen, etc. It was a magical stay in a tower steeped in history in the Scottish countryside. The walks in the surrounding countryside are superb: fields, woods and river ... and Lulu offered us a private tour of the Neidpath Castle: exceptional! One of our best AirBNB experiences

    Fabienne2020-01-24T00:00:00Z

  • Great couple of nights at Lynn & Mike’s place. Ideal for a get together for 3 couples and some young children. Great public spaces with a large kitchen and lounge. Really social spaces. Ample bedrooms. Hot tub well worth the extra cost and was well used. Would thoroughly recommend for a family/friends getaway. Communication with Mike and Lynn was easy and quick.

  • Great hosts and it is a beautiful house in the countryside

    David2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Lynn and Mike’s house for two nights. I received lots of information prior to arrival, which meant it was easy to find the house, especially in the daylight. I received a warm reception on arrival and Lynn and Mike were welcoming. The house is even nicer in the flesh than in the photos and is very comfortable. We used the hot tub too, which was great. The house is located in a peaceful, rural location which was perfect for us. Selkirk is an easy drive away too. We’d love to return - thanks so much!

    Jenny2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We booked for two nights for a 30th celebration and had the best time. We had everything we needed and more. Lynn and Mike were excellent hosts, and couldn’t have been any more helpful. 100% would recommend for larger groups.

The adults enjoyed the comfortablekitchen dining area, great fridge, wine cooler, etc. Perfect place to stay for a large group. Next time we book will be to go walking and exploring, particularly the waterfall Grey Mares Tail. Thank you.

  • I have stayed for several days in October mainly for fishing in the Tweed river. I enjoyed the fantastic hospitality of Sarah and John. The preserved nature, great large house and a very clean room have to added to the pleasure of stay. But the most astonishing thing was the breakfasts in the morning. Very tasty and complete. I could skip eating the whole day after.

    Egor2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • I have just enjoyed 4 days staying with Sarah and John in there lovely home. Everything was perfect, and Sarah and John were polite and attentive nothing was too much trouble. My room was perfectly clean with a most comfortable bed. The room also had a en suite wet room, which like the whole of the house was sparkling clean and tidy. No one would be disappointed to stay here.

    Nigel2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Guests can be assured of the warmest of welcomes at Bellenden House. Sarah and John (and Amber, their friendly poodle) will make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Our room (ground floor, wet room) was ideal for my wife who finds stairs and baths difficult. Sarah's breakfasts are amazing, sufficient to fuel competitive cyclists and those of us who just wish to explore this beautiful part of Scotland. The easy, relaxed atmosphere is a tonic.

    Richard2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Second time staying with Sarah, great hospitality and location brought me back and I was not disappointed

    Ben2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • My son Tom has stayed with Sarah previously and has been delighted with the wonderful facilities and hospitality show to him there. Sadly, Tom took a fall from his bike, dislocating his shoulder, on the day he was due to check in and so he didn't make it to Sarah's and was forced to A&E from where he eventually limped home. Sarah was great, and I couldn't fault her kind response. She is a great host and I cannot recommend her well enough.

    Evy2019-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our third visit to Sarahs place. Great hospitality, fantastic breakfasts, and great location for mountain biking.

    Jo2018-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Sarah and John will live long in the memory - it was a real privilege to meet them and to enjoy their generous hospitality. Bellenden House is a beautiful property and wonderfully situated above the Tweed. I thoroughly enjoyed my early morning walks with our dogs - over the style at the side of the garden and then up the hill to enjoy beautiful views up and down the valley. Then back for an extremely generous and tasty breakfast - dietary needs catered for / porridge highly recommended! We particularly enjoyed the interesting conversations that flowed and ranged wide over breakfast - it was hard to tear ourselves away each day. Our room downstairs was perfect - tastefully furnished, comfortable bed, a bookcase full of interesting books - with a spacious, adjoining shower wet room + heated floor. The area has so much to offer and Sarah and John's recommendations were faultless - walks, locations to visit, places to eat, etc. Thank you so much for making this such a special break.

    Paul2018-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a delightful place in location overlooking the Tweed valley. But the true beauty is the marvelous host family that you will meet. A charming mansion with a beautiful garden a sumptuous breakfast awaits you. Highly recommend. Rex

  • Angus & Esther’s place is truly beautiful; stylish and cozy and with great amenities and plenty of personal touches that make you feel really cared for. Communication with them was informative and friendly and they had plenty of information about the surrounding area and access. They even went out of their way to bake us (vegan) brownies. We would HIGHLY recommend and would most certainly stay again when/if we’re in the area again. Thank you both so much for a wonderful stay!

    Josh2020-02-12T00:00:00Z

  • A warm welcome from owner and chickens here! This is a charming cottage in a peaceful location on an old farm. Wildlife abounds outside, whilst inside you can cook up some super fresh eggs from the chickens running past the window! Snuggle up by the log burner and enjoy the countryside (and Esther's shortbread). Everything we needed was there. Great communication from Esther, including top wildlife spotting tips!

  • Fabulous hostess! Lois thought of everything and was truly welcoming and helpful. I'd definitely recommend staying with Lois.

    Jennifer2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Had a really comfortable and enjoyable stay at Lois' house. The house is warm, spacious and well equipped with almost instant hot water for the private shower; the room was comfortable - good mattress, generous bedding and all the storage etc. you could want. As a host Lois was welcoming and hospitable, a good conversationalist. I'd recommend this room as a base to explore the borders.

  • The room looks much better than the pictures on the Airbnb. Cozy and clean, and bed is extremely comfortable. I really like to chat with Lois, sharing the progress I got from mountain bike trip. Look forward to be back again: )

  • Good hospitality, I would recommend staying at Lois' place.

  • Lois was very communicative and helpful. Her home is ideally located and very comfortable. Would definitely stay with her again.

  • This is what I consider to be exemplary accommodation. Offers just what is needed -clean, quiet, safe and warm accommodation. The price is fair - something on the verge of extinction in many parts of the UK.

    Elsa2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed a very comfortable couple of nights here as it was conveniently located for the tour of the borders cycling event in Peebles. Access from Edinburgh by bus was easy, even with a bike (our host Lois was very helpful in arranging this) and the location is beautiful. Rooms were very comfortable and Lois is a lovely and welcoming host with nice touches provided like tea and coffee facilities in the room. Highly recommend a stay here.

  • Gavin and Zoe's place is a fantastic and cosy retreat right in the heart of this beautiful Scottish village. The place has everything you need for a few days away, though if you have a pet be warned that there is no rear entrance leading straight to the garden. The surrounding area is breathtaking. Great cycle tracks, roads, and forests to explore. The nearby town of Peebles had some outstanding food to offer too. I'd come back again! Would definitely recommend this place.

  • We stayed for the weekend whilst up in Scotland to go mountain biking at nearby Glentress and had a brilliant time. The location of the flat was ideal and the facilities just what we needed. The bike storage felt really secure, the shower was super powerful (ideal for washing off all the mud after biking!) and lovely that it was dog friendly too so we were able to bring along the pooch! Would definitely stay here again if we come back up and absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a base in the area.

    Alice2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic little flat with everything you could possibly need as well as some lovely extras provided - towel for our scruffy dog, chocolate for us! There are great walks in the area and Innerleithen itself has lots to offer with good cafes , pubs and takeaways. We will definitely be back!

  • This flat had everything we could’ve possibly needed for a weekend of biking in Innerleithen and Glentress. It was such a cozy and welcoming place! Even down to the heating being on just before us arriving, which was much appreciated on a very wet and windy evening! I would definitely recommend!

The Mill, formerly the sawmill for Borthwick Hall, is a charming property built in the 1800s. The conversion of the building was completed in 2003 and is now a wonderful family home. My husband, Steve, and I moved up to Scotland from London in December 2017 and absolutely love it up here. With lovely people and beautiful open spaces, it’s the perfect place for us to relax and raise our kids. We love having friends and family visit and look forward to offering our space to guests as well.
The rooms we have for guests to stay make up a private suite situated above our garage with an external stairway for private access. There is a double room with a tv, sofa and wardrobe. All bed linen is provided with extra pillows if you need them. The spacious bathroom had a large bath and separate shower along with his and her sinks. There is a sitting room with sofa, table and chairs as well as kitchen facilities including cooker, microwave and fridge. We also offer a continental breakfast of cereals and homemade bread. Our house is supplied by private spring water so feel free to fill our water bottles for your days out. We are happy to accommodate babies and toddlers and we have a travel cot if needed. Please let us know if you have older children and would like to stay as we may be able to arrange a mattress or bed for them. There are some lovely places to walk nearby and we’d be happy to point them out to you.
  • Such a lovely location, larger than expected. Some lovely personal touches that made the stay that bit more special. Lovely host.

  • Spacious and beautifully furnished apartment in a peaceful rural location. We had a very comfortable and relaxing one night stopover on our journey from Northumberland back up to our home in Argyll. The apartment has everything you need, a real home from home, and breakfast is provided with a delicious fresh loaf of bread plus cereals, tea/coffee, milk, jams and marmalade. We wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area. Edinburgh is easily accessible as well as Peebles, Innerleithen, and Melrose. Highly recommended and very good value for money and you will get a lovely warm welcome from Natasha when you arrive.

    Sara And Sean2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • This, in our view, is a delightful find ~ for its beautifully seclusion; the high standard of accommodation; the amount of space and in so many other ways. Natasha is a fine host who adds a number of her own touches on which other past guests have commented ~ such as a freshly baked loaf of bread. She and her family even invited us to join them for a Rugby World Cup match - and, in our hour of need (don't ask - car troubles), provided us with a much appreciated lift to the nearest garage some miles away. All in all, a terrific base in the gorgeous Scottish Borderlands.

    Bob2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • 2nd time staying at Natasha's place. Can't recommend it enough. We'll be back!

  • A gem in the outskirts of Edinburgh. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

    Maria2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our first Airbnb experience and what a delight! The annex was beautifully furnished and sparkling clean, everything we needed for a couple of nights away. It is a 15 minute drive to Gorebridge station where parking is free and a 25 minute train ride to Edinburgh. Natasha communicated with us well prior to our arrival and made us feel very welcome with the lovely touches in the flat and the amazing bread! We will definitely be back!

    Ellie2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • An excellent B&B in a lovely country location whilst still being close enough to do day-trips to Edinburgh if required. The accommodation consists of a large kitchen diner, a roomy well appointed bathroom and a spacious bedroom with a large double bed plus sofa & TV, all situated above the garage at first floor level with individual access via an external flight of stairs.

    John & Jill2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Tasha's annex is like walking right into a page from Home Beautiful magazine; without sounding like an estate agent... this home is exquisitely fitted and furnished and you feel like precious family guests in the welcome Tasha gives from the subtle scents round the rooms to the fresh baked bread wafting from the kitchen; everything is perfect. The bookshelves are fascinating, the kitchen well equipped with lovely touches for a cook, like a variety of chopping boards and sharp knives! Reviews say sparkling clean - an understatement- you could eat from the floor - everything was immaculate. Sadly our stay was a whistle stop so we did not explore the area. My tip for this property would be that no matter how weary you arrive take time to indulge in the sumptuous bath, there is ample hot water and room to swing several cats. Needless to say this property has our stamp of approval.

  • What a fabulous place this turned out to be - it certainly exceed expectations on location and comfort, and proved to be excellent value for money. Both beds were so comfortable, the space was just spotless, perfect for our needs, and the location so peaceful and private. You will also struggle to find nicer hosts than Anne and her husband George - we just felt so welcome, and nothing was ever too much trouble.

  • If you are looking for a break away from it all in beautiful surroundings and sample life in the Scottish Borders to meet the local people with the only sound in the background being from birds, sheep, cows and horses but have a pub just across the road; this is the perfect location. The mobile home has everything you could want for a holiday break and is set in own space within a courtyard next to stables separating it from the main house and even has it’s own little private patio area with table and chairs to relax and take in the surrounding countryside. The people of the Scottish Borders are renowned for their warm friendly hospitality and our hosts Anne and her husband George are a perfect example of this. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and were there when we needed anything but gave us all the space we needed to feel just like we were staying at our very own private holiday home with no one else around. Looking forward to our next trip to the Scottish Borders especially now that we have found the perfect place to stay.

  • This was one of if not our best Airbnb whilst travelling Europe for the last month, the location is perfect such a beautiful town to stay in, all we needed was so close! The stay was easy with simple check in instructions and we especially liked not have to worry about keys with the keypad lock on the front door. A perfect place for a couple or a single or a two close friends. We appreciated the nice touches like the fresh farm eggs and the little gift hamper, from the host we felt as though we had our privacy and that you were accessible if we needed help. Thank you again for having us stay in your Airbnb we have recommended you to many of our friends who are local to the area.

All decorated and finished to a very very high standard. Lovely modern copper touches everywhere in a modern house, truly outstanding. The shower room was immaculate with a monsoon shower which was delightful and plenty of lovely fluffy towels. We didn’t use the log burner whilst there (hot tub was too tempting) but we will definitely be back to try. All makes for a romantic stay away. Thank you Dannielle it was absolutely superb 😊 x

My place is close to public transport. You’ll love the cottage because of the outdoors space and the ambiance. The cottage is ideal for couples. The Scottish tourist board rate our cottage as four star standard. You are in the heart of the country but only 40 minutes from Edinburgh and most of the Scottish borders towns. Rolling hills, lots of walking, interesting places to see historical, cultural and modern.
The cottage is warm and comfortable with views of the rolling borders countryside and direct access to the hills around. Recently renovated to a high standard this is a listed 18th century cottage next door to our house which used to an inn with a Robert Burns connection. The cottage has a garden with a decked area and barbeque and its own parking space. The living space has a log burner as well as central heating. The kitchen is fully fitted with Fridge freezer, cooker, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. The bedroom has a Superking sized bed but can be set up as two singles on request. No9 is ideally suited to sightsee in the Scottish Borders but is also very convenient for Edinburgh with very easy access.
The Scottish borders gives access to many large country houses, ruined abbeys and castles. Fishing, golf, walking and mountain biking are all available locally. There is beautiful countryside all around and yet you are only 40 minutes from Edinburgh by train or car. Edinburgh is a very vibrant city full of interest.
  • Great cottage that's perfect for couple or a small family. We took our baby daughter. The house was clean and has all the amenities that you would need. It's near small village Stow, that we didnt visit but we visited nearby Lauder and Galashiels town. We easily found some great pubs for lunches in both places. Lots great walks and historic buildings nearby. John was quick to respond and check in/out was a breeze. The small touches around the house were appreciated.

  • It’s a cosy and lovely cottage perfect for couples or lone travellers. It’s easier to get around if you have a car but not impossible by public transport or even walking if you’re fit enough.

  • We had a lovely stay at the cottage, which is immaculately turned out and comfortable. The owners, John and Allwin, were incredibly welcoming and friendly and offered good advice about the area. They were waiting for us with the keys as we arrived and allowed us flexibility with our checkout. Moreover their communication was exceptional in the lead-up to the trip. The cottage itself is perfect for a couple, small but with all your needs catered for. There were lovely little additional touches - coffee and tea, shortbread, and milk all arranged ready for our arrival. If you're over six feet tall (as I am) you may find some parts of the cottage a little uncomfortable - particularly the shower, which you won't be able to stand up in, and the eaves of the roof in the bedroom can be a head-bang risk (which I did on more than one occasion). The open fire is gorgeous, though, and wood is readily accessible just outside the back door. The proximity of the road to the cottage makes for a slightly less-than-peaceful stay, as cars whizz past at 60mph, though we did stop noticing by the end of our stay. The road isn't safe to walk down, though it looks like there may be paths down to the village accessible by the back of the garden - we didn't investigate. The setting is stunningly picturesque, and the back garden being on a slope allows for lovely views when sat out in the evening.

  • What a gem of a cottage! It's location is perfect to explore both the wonderful city of Edinburgh (get the train from Stow, saves having to park!) and also the beautiful surrounding country side. John is a fantastic host! He was always swift to answer my questions before the stay and always had sound advice. He was very welcoming on our arrival and kindly showed us round the cottage. The cottage itself is the perfect cosy get away for a couple. The space was clean and very well designed with everything you'd need in the kitchen and living areas. We absolutely loved it and would definitely go back, thank you again John and Allwin

  • We had a wonderful time at your cottage. Very welcoming and everything that you would need for a relaxing break, we enjoyed sitting by the cosy log burner even though the cottage was warm it created a lovely atmosphere. And the most comfortable bed we have slept in too! We found the folders full of local interest and days out very helpful. Well recommended Thanks John and Allwen

  • This is a beautiful little cottage in the borders. Even though it is on the main road (making it super easy to find), the traffic didn't annoy us at all, and it still felt really peaceful and was a lovely place to switch off for the weekend. John was away for a couple of days when we arrived, so Allwin met us to check us in. She was incredibly kind and stayed up for our late arrival! The cottage itself is really wonderfully kitted out - a dishwasher makes so much difference to relaxation, and the bed (a ziplink king I think) was so incredibly comfortable! Great kitchen - small but perfectly formed - and lovely touches like a pint of milk in the fridge when we arrived, and a packet of shortbread on the tea tray. The Scottish weather put pay to our BBQ plans but the garden is also beautiful and there's a gate at the top straight onto the hills for keen walkers. Highly recommended!

This fully modernized and beautifully furnished self-contained apartment forms the rear part of a listed Georgian farmhouse dating back to the 1800's. Located in the village of Cardrona by the River Tweed the apartment is ideally located for mountain biking at Glentress Forest (1.5m) fishing on the Tweed, and walking some of Scotland's most stunning countryside. The apartment intersects the recently opened Tweed Valley Railway cycle path providing easy access by bike to Peebles and Innerleithen.
Lee Penn was fully renovated in 2010 and now provides stylish and comfortable accommodation. The open plan kitchen-living area is complemented by a multi-fuel stove which sits in a recessed stone fireplace bordered by wood-stores. The kitchen is well-equipped with under counter fridge/freezer, oven with grill and hob and washing machine and dishwasher. In the bedroom a French imported double bed promises a good nights sleep and built in wardrobes provide plenty of storage space. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower with underfloor heating. The apartment has its own private entrance at the rear of the property and opens out onto an enclosed terrace with use of the garden beyond. Parking is outside the apartment and a fully secure bike store is also available.
Situated just 20 miles south of Edinburgh, Cardrona lies just 3 miles east of the busy market town of Peebles providing the perfect base for exploring this historical and beautiful region. Its busy and eclectic high street provides a range of good shopping facilities and a weekly market. Nestled along side the shops you will find art galleries, cafes and award winning restaurants; a museum, swimming pool and the wonderful Eastgate Theatre converted from an old church at the end of the High Street. Opportunities abound for walking, fishing on the salmon-rich Tweed and golf at local courses in Peebles, Cardrona and Innerleithen. World class mountain biking and Go Ape is available at Glentress Forest, 1.5 miles away and more challenging trails can be found down the road in Innerleithen. Sitting proudly on the hill outside Peebles, you can visit the 14th century Neidpath Castle once visited by Mary Queen of Scots and to the east of Cardrona some three miles away in the small village of Traquair stands Traquair House, the oldest continuously inhabited house in Scotland. Peebles hosts food, mountain biking, arts and music festivals throughout the year including the Beltane which lasts an entire week in June and features the spectacle of hundreds of horses being ridden through the town and culminates with the colourful Crowning of The Beltane Queen on the steps of the parish church. Both Peebles and Innerleithen are reknown for hosting art, music and biking festivals and Peebles just 3 miles up the road boasts its own theatre, a weekly market and an award-winning high street with restaurants, gift shops and art galleries. If visitors exhaust the many local attractions on offer, Edinburgh is just 25 miles to the North and easily accessible by car or by bus using the regular service from Cardrona Village Store
  • A lovely and comfortable self-catering flat, with an open fire, in a place of great natural beauty. Lucy and David were very helpful and we had a fantastic stay. Highly recommended

  • Lucy's place suited our needs perfectly. It's super clean, the bed is comfortable and the kitchen has all the crockery and utensils you could want. Even though it was snowing, the heaters and wood fire kept us cosy. It's a compact space best suited for one or two people but has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

    Sue2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy’s place was clean and beautiful. A very friendly, helpful host. We’ll be back! Carole & Alan N.

  • A wonderful apartment in the lovely Scottish Borders. The apartment has everything you need and is sparkling clean and very spacious. The bed was very comfortable with good quality bedding. It was a very warm place too. The whole apartment suited us down to the ground. It’s ideal for a couple and is in the perfect location for mountain biking at Glentress or Innerleithen. You can ride from the door. Lucy was an hospitable host and responds very quickly to emails and queries. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

  • Can not recommend this place highly enough. Lee Penn is such a cosy, warm, extremely well decorated and furnished place. Also the log burner is an extra special touch that was perfect to have when curled up on the sofa. Lucy and David are great hosts and are always on hand should you need their assistance or advice on the local area. Would definitely return to this property again.

    Jamie2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Lee Penn apartment is an ideal base from which to explore the area around Peebles and the Borders in general. The accommodation was well equipped, larger than expected and very warm (even without the log burner). The bathroom has underfloor heating which is a very pleasant extra. Lucy is very welcoming and provides loads of information on local attractions, walks and sporting activities. We had a very peaceful and comfortable stay in the apartment - really didn't want to leave!

    David2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • A really enjoyable stay. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and clean. It is located in the perfect location to ride to Glentress, Innerleithen and the Golfie and being a mountain bike guide Lucy was able to direct me to all the best trails.
