We had such a lovely stay at the barn, it was cosy yet spacious with lots of extra touches. Rachael was great to communicate too, v responsive and nothing was too much bother. We’d definitely come back!

We stayed here for New years, there where 5 of us with 3 dogs. The place is really spacious and perfect for staying with dogs. Great location for walking. Rachel supplied us with lush freshly made bread, jam, butter, milk and eggs from the chickens, really lovely. The kitchen has everything one needs to cook a big meal. We also very much enjoyed the log fire. Very comfy and cosy cottage.

Rachael's place was ideal for our family of 6 and dog. Very roomy, well equipped and warm . Good views and a pub 5 mins away. We wouldn't hesitate to go back. Rachael was very helpful , baked bread for our arrival with jam and butter, and milk too.

Rachael is a wonderful host, the barn is superbly laid out with the kitchen/lounge in the centre of the accommodation. Rachael bent over backwards to make our first trip away stress free while we adjust to parenthood with a 2 week old baby. Even adjusting heating times so the midnight feeds were warm! Excellent.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The barn was sparkling clean and very spacious. There was plenty to explore on the farm and Rachael gave us some great tips about where to go exploring. We would never had headed to Dunkery beacon if she’d not have suggested it. It is a perfect location and you don’t need to travel far to get to many of the interesting places in Exmoor. When we arrived there was a fresh loaf in the bread maker which was such a lovely surprise. The place smelt wonderful. We had a fantastic stay, thank you Rachael.

We had a great stay for a couple of days. The room was very clean, warm and cosy. Bathroom was next door and very clean too. Zoe set the table up for us each morning with cereals and bread for toast and provided a variety of preserves along with tea and coffee facilities. Zoe was a great host and would not hesitate in staying again.

Zoe's place is great, a nice room in their home which has a view of the sea. We were able to use their kitchen and even allowed us to have my brother round for dinner. Lovely to be given breakfast too. I would definitely recommend!

What a lovely little lodge! My mum and i stayed here for 3 nights to do some walking around Exmoor. Rachael met us on arrival and was very welcoming and friendly. She had good local knowledge and suggestions. The lodge has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We loved spending cosy evenings in there with the electric fire going. The perfect spot for a few nights!

You have heard descriptions about quaint hideaways from many advertisers--nothing compares to this one! This is the real deal--a one lane country road with hedges on both sides for the last half mile. Once you get there--a tranquil location awaits you with a fantastic panoramic view. We enjoyed two days of peaceful Exmoor quietness.

The farm was perfect for us in a lovely quiet remote location approximately 25 minutes drive away from Porlock or Lynton. The lane was a bit bumpy so cats low to the ground must be wary. It wasn’t a problem for our SUV type vehicle. You will probably be greeted by the lovely natured farm dogs. They didn’t bark or jump up. The countryside views were beautiful there , rain or shine. The accommodation was very clean, warm and had all the amenities required for a mini break. The bathroom was a good size ; the bedroom had plenty of storage with an external rail for hanging clothes. The kitchen diner and lounge were excellent with a good Wi-fi signal. We didn’t meet the host but were were out and about most of the time and it is a working farm. I would definitely recommend this place.

Lovely cosy place in a great location to explore Exmoor and Devon!

This place is great and the farm is lovely. One down point is that the running water doesnt stay hot enough to run a bath or to fill the sink.

My husband and I, with our little dog stayed at Jasmine’s for a weekend in Feb. Jasmine’s place is absolutely lovely, amazingly clean, warm, and very comfortable and homely. We had dinner on Friday night at the local pub- call to book - as it got busy really quickly. All the locals seemed to be there! The food was great, the pub was cozy, and very very very dog friendly (never seen this many dogs in a pub!). We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for hosting us!

We found the Snug to be a lovely place to stay, exactly as described and Matt and Jess were very attentive hosts going the extra mile with special touches. We were thrilled to be greeted by a specially baked vegan cake! Sparkly clean and with a great cosy feel, the woodburner was also a welcome touch for the January weather. Easily found within the heart of the village, there is a great pub a moments walk away. Keen walkers can leave the car parked up and hike up to Dunkery Beacon and back with Matt thoughtfully supplying laminated guides/maps of the local trails. Matt also provided us with plenty of information before we arrived too. We would certainly happily go back.

Can't recommend enough. Place is so lovely. Helena and family are so accommodating willing to help wherever they can. Very remote location but easy enough to access different places. We came away feeling very refreshed-relaxed. Look forward to booking again.

Highly recommend this cottage. It is located on a working farm in beautiful countryside. Helena was a very welcoming host. The cottage is exceptionally clean and well equipped, we had everything we needed. A great location to visit Dunster, Minehead and explore Exmoor National Park. We enjoyed meeting all the farms dogs and the horses who pop their heads over the wall in the morning to say hello! Our dog loved her morning and evening walks around the the farm! It is wonderfully quiet at night, you can sit in the garden and look up at the stars! We had a very enjoyable stay and hope to visit again in the future.

Amazing place to stay to take in Exmoor, Dunster, Porlock and the local beaches. Accommodation is outstanding and Stuart and Charlie charming hosts; friendly and helpful. The setting for Periton Court is gorgeous, with a lovely forest walk just out of the back gate - ideal if you are taking your dog. Couldn't recommended this place too highly - we would love to go back.

The apartment is quite lovely and spacious. Totally agree with description, photos and previous review. Kitchen was well equipped. Comfortable seating both inside and out. We were lucky to have fantastic weather so breakfast outside on the patio was a real treat. We were interested in hiking and Stuart gave us some great ideas. There is also a laundry room onsite near the barn which came in very useful. Highly recommend for quiet, beautiful countryside and relaxation.

Wow, this place is a Somerset gem. The small flat really is a retreat - quiet and peaceful, with everything you need and your own private little patio area for eating, reading and relaxing. We stayed for five nights, made use of the pool every day and enjoyed exploring nearby Lynton and Lynmouth, Dunster Castle (highly recommended), Minehead and a 5k coastal walk to Blue Anchor for fish and chips! The house and grounds are beautifully maintained by Stuart and Charlie and the location couldn't be better - within a few minutes by foot you are in the national park and there are lots of places to visit just a short drive away. Stuart and his family are fantastic hosts and made us feel really welcome. We'll be back for sure!

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Katherine's cottage - perfect location for a mini break! The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities you need. We brought our dog with us and it was great to find a place in that location where she was welcome too. There is a door that shuts off the staircase so we didn't have to worry about her venturing up there as per Katherine's request. We enjoyed a local cider in the grounds where there were loungers provided and felt welcome throughout. The arrival cream tea was a very thoughtful touch which we really enjoyed after a long drive. We had a brilliant stay at Little Quatme cottages. Katherine and Nick are great hosts, with a wealth of local knowledge and a door that's literally always open! The place is just gorgeous with views for miles and the kids had a fab time exploring and adventuring. The cream tea on arrival was a really lovely touch too!

We very much enjoyed our stay One could not wish for a more peaceful place. The layout of the cottage takes full advantage of the superb views over unspoilt country as far as the horizon. The interior is well furnished offering plenty of space, very comfortable bed, good heating and hot water. Lovely area with good walks. We had a delightful stay at Katherine‘s. Just what we needed- a real rest in a beautiful area and lovely cottage. Katherine and Nick gave us many tips and a delicious cream tea.

Peace and quiet yet close to Minehead and Dunster. A fantastic location amongst the fields. Although there were other guests in adjacent cottages, we never heard a sound from them! A great place for a family or families travelling together.

Little Quarms is an amazing place to stay. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and the location is something else. We were able to relax in perfect peace whilst having a BBQ overlooking a rolling landscape. Only downside was the shortness of our stay and only discovering the river as we were due to leave. Highly recommended.

Make this the one you choose if you’re in the Exmoor area, you really won’t be disappointed. Matt & Jess’ cottage is a really lovely, homely cottage and they spoilt us with some extra special touches.

The Barn is a really lovely place to stay! It’s clean and comfortable, cosy and well equipped with everything you could possibly need, had a lovely time and a couple of great nights sleep. Jess and Matt are brilliant hosts, can’t recommend their place enough!

This was our second visit. We loved it so much we had to return. Although we were joined by Storm Dennis it didn’t ruin our stay. The accommodation is so cosy and homely we stayed in and enjoyed the warm blankets, sofa and cake! Perfect location and every detail has been thought of.

One of the best Air BnBs we’ve stayed in! The Barn is spacious yet cosy and stylishly decorated and has everything you could ask for and more. Games, films, walking maps, blankets, and even breakfast items and homemade cake! Matt & Jess are super friendly and very quick to respond to messages. We felt warmly welcomed yet left to our own devices, which was perfect. The local pub, the Lion Inn, is literally a few steps down the road and serves delicious food and drink with a warm welcome from the hosts. The Luttrell Arms in Dunster is just a couple of miles away and also offers a great selection of drinks and food. The Barn is close to places to visit like Dunster Castle, Tarr Steps and Minehead. We had such a lovely little break here in North Devon, we wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Matts place is fantastic. A very peaceful haven full of character and charm; perfect for a couple exploring exmoor. It’s not too far into exmoor to reach whilst driving and is easy access with all the major areas reachable within an hours drive. The bed is extremely comfortable and the shower is fantastic. There was plenty of space for us for our belongings and to relax. We stayed two nights with the dog and the dog loved it too as it was very quiet. You might get a chance to eat the sublime and out of the world walnut cake, which actually needs its own review page! 5 stars , thanks very much. We will be back.

A lovely and well thought out barn conversion. Some lovely homely touches were provided. The Lion Inn literally across the road was very welcoming and Dunster is great for exploring. We had a fabulous meal at The Stags Head in Dunster. The area looks to have lots of walks - so we will need to visit again when the weather is better to explore the area even more. Matt and Jess were both friendly and helpful - thanks for a great mini break.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It truly is a peaceful haven in the countryside. But supermarkets are only a short drive away. There is so much to explore in the local area and we were very happy with our base here. The hosts are friendly and helpful.

We so enjoyed exploring Exmoor with our two girls, its beautiful landscape stole our hearts and we already plan to come back in Spring/Summer and we'd love to stay at Foxhollow’s again! This is perhaps the best experience for us at AirBnB. We enjoyed very much. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The surroundings are astonishing.

Nice cottages in their own little rural valley.

Warm, snug and cosy with all facilities you would need. We went for a few days' walking and resting over New Year and the location puts you right in the middle of some lovely walks for any time of year. The pool and games room both looked great, although we didn't use them. Ruth and her family are very kind and welcoming and even invited us for drinks on New Year's Eve which was a lovely touch. Welcoming, well-equipped and wonderfully-located.

We had a really nice stay at Triscombe Cottages, our cottage was comfortable and really as described in the ad. The kitchen is well furnished and we enjoyed cooking there. The welcoming was warm and friendly although we arriove late at night. Do not hesitate to contact Ruth about the location, I didn't check my emails and the sat-nav tends to send people on muddy tracks! Probably the best was the swimming pool, that is long enough for some proper swimming, really enjoyable. It was very quiet, and we were the only people using it, making it even nicer. The location is very good, as you can start a walk directly from the house and enjoy nice views on the surrounding rolling hills, or drive a bit and enjoy the seaside.

From start to finish, we had a fabulous experience with Ruth and Becky. Communication was responsive and easy, with lots of extra information to make our journey and check-in (very out of hours!) stress free and simple. Any issues were easily resolved. The accommodation was lovely, simple, comfortable and very clean. The electric heaters were very effective...but the log burner was toasty! The surrounding area was beautiful and we both felt that we had a most marvellous time - we had a wonderful, restful and comfortable stay. Stream cottage was lovely and we would definitely recommend a stay. The whole of Triscombe Farm has an 'away from it all' kind of feel about it but is only around 20 minutes drive from many places of interest, including the coast, delightful walks, villages and National Trust sites. There are also things to do without using the car - walks from and around the farm, tennis, table tennis, pool, and a swimming pool to use. Over all a great base or somewhere to completely relax. Thanks for a splendid few days - I'm sure we shall be back!

A completely magical place. Joy has thought of everything you could need in this haven and the shepherds hut itself has clearly been made with love. The experience of the hot outdoors shower is almost like something from a luxury hotel! Couldn’t have had a better trip. The dog loved it too. We’ll be back 😊

This is the second time we've come to stay at the shepherds hut, and we once again had a truly wonderful break. The hut itself is homely and comfortable, with all the provisions you need, and Joy is an attentive, generous and helpful host. The valley itself is beautiful, and the really special thing about this place is the genuine sense of solitude and peacefulness you get from being here. You will have it all to yourself, we didn't see anyone in three days! The dog also loved it. We'll certainly be back again.

We had such a great time at the hut - collecting wood, making fires, enjoying the beautiful countryside. It is a wonderfully secluded spot, so peaceful. Joy was a lovely host who provided everything we could need, including delicious eggs! The hot outdoor shower was amazing! We had one very happy pup with us too. Cant recommend this place enough.

Absolutely stunning location and a great place to get away from it all. I recommend this to anyone who loves the outdoors and getting back to basics.

Joy's Sheperd's Hut in Exmoor is the ideal spot to getaway from busy, modern life and relax. From the moment you arrive you are well looked after (with a ride down to the remote campsite then getting collected at the end of your stay). The open fire, babbling brook and lovely hut make for rustic but (very) comfortable living (and the hot shower brings welcome luxury)! Joy has stocked the place excellently including a small fridge, lots of cooking utensils and a gas hob if required. Joy has a good stock of maps and guidebooks if you're keen to do some walking on the moors (and is happy to recommend pubs for a pit stop). Communication with Joy beforehand was friendly and helpful and she made sure our stay was excellent.

What a fantastic little place to get away from it all. Very secluded and a wonderful place to escape for a few days. The sound of the stream was lovely and sitting by the fire outside cooking dinner with a cider was divine! Looking forward to returning in a few months! Becky and siobhan

Had a lovely stay at James's place over the New Year. Fab pub on your doorstep. We ate there on our 1st night, did a charity darts competition on another and sang Karaoke an New Years Eve..! Food and staff great. I can see that parking may be a problem at busier times but we did manage to get somewhere each evening. Many thanks

What a beautiful bolthole on the edge of Exmoor! A bijou delight, Carole has created a space that is welcoming and very tastefully decorated. A particularly lovely touch is breakfast delivered to your doorstop every day in a basket - croissants, yoghurt and orange juice to ease you into another day exploring the gorgeous surroundings. We took our dog Molly, who was delighted to find a comfy dog bed waiting for her along with several treats. We would highly recommend Carole's gorgeous B&B and will definitely be returning in the future.

Carole is a lovely host and her b&b is immaculately clean and cosy. A lovely breakfast was provided every morning on our doorstep with fresh milk and warm croissants. Walks across the moors from our doorstep for our dog Tia were spectacular, especially down to Tarr steps. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The cottage has a wonderful location in the middle of Exmoor National Park. Carole has furnished the room and the bathroom very tastefully and adapted to the environment. She is a very friendly and helpful host who has given us lots of tips to explore the area. The stay is very suitable, if you really want to switch off. Nature is on the doorstep and free. We like to come back if possible!

An absolute gem of a find in the middle of exmoor. Katherine and Nick are amazing hosts an I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. A car is needed to get to most places of interest but but we loved every minute. We will definitely return next year

We have just returned from a wonderful Easter weekend staying in Exmoor Cottage situated in the most beautiful location. Katherine and Nick were fantastic hosts with a very warm welcome and cream tea on arrival. They have a wealth of knowledge about the area and gave us hints on where to eat out and the best routes for the many walks to be enjoyed around the area. Everything was perfect!

If you love walking in beautiful and sometimes wild countryside then the barn is the perfect place to come back to. Jennie and Malcolm are warm and friendly with great local knowledge.

What a wonderful setting, characterful cottage which has been so tastefully updated. Jennie & Malcolm were extremely warm & welcoming such that finding and getting into the cottage was easy. Leaving such a lovely place though was much harder...

Chris and Freya have a lovely property. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had all that we needed, and we adored the living space by the fire. The view outside every window in the house is beautiful. The location is great and is a quick drive to many locations throughout Exmoor National Park. Would recommend.

The Ballroom cottage was exactly as described. Beautiful, remote part of west Somerset. Comfortable place, well presented. Chris and Freya were very responsive to all queries and approachable. Had a relaxing time.

Cutthorne is a great place to stay for exploring both Exmoor and the coast. The cottage is well appointed and we have stayed both Summer and Winter - for both it met our needs. Chris and Freya are on hand, should you need them, and provide a good range of information about local amenities.

The Ballroom at Cutthorne is a beautiful and well equipped cottage in a lovely spot. Chris and Freya are very friendly hosts who provided us with fresh eggs (our 3-year old could even help collect them) and with helpful tips for exploring the region. We enjoyed the lovely landscape and the sweet smell of the air, the sparrows outside the window and the comfortable interior. I'd recommend Chris and Freya's Cottage to any of my friends.

A really enjoyable break, great swimming pool and games room. Very nice touches with a bottle of fizz, xmas tree and other general bits to get you started. Having lack of wifi is a bonus as it meant the children rediscovered how to play.

Fern cottage was a perfect little get away. We felt very at home and really enjoyed our stay on the farm. The cottage was really clean and had everything we needed. Loved the pool too. Will definitely be visiting again.

We had a lovely 4 day stay with my husband and kids ( both teenagers 😜) The place is very clean, and it’s ideal for family to bond on a quiet evening away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The facilities are great and it takes them away from their gadgets which I love. We brought some games for us to do in the evening and enjoyed being in a setting with no gadgets on our face. WiFi is not bad as we still can access things. Loved the pool and games room and the lovely surrounding area to explore. We enjoyed going to minehead, there is a pub not too far from the cottage which serves lovely food. Take a visit to Tarr steps well worth it and st audries beach which has a hidden waterfall on it but beware of the steep steps. The drive to the countryside is a must. We drove to ilfracombe, woolacombe, comb Martin and Lynmouth was very nice too if you like driving. Overall well worth the stay and visit. Thanks again Ruth and family.

wow what an amazing place!! completely stunning part of exmoor and all the grounds were so pretty. We stayed at fern cottage and it was really lovely. Boys loved the communal pool and we had it to ourselves every time we used it which was great! only wish we could have stayed longer-will definitely be returning -thankyou so much

BOOK THIS HOUSE!! Have just got back from our stay in the old post office and what a fantastic stay it was. As if the surrounding countryside was not worth a visit on its own, the space has been so beautifully kitted out with everything you need and the best shower EVER!! The only negative is that we couldn't stay longer!!

This is a really lovely place to stay, and a perfect bolt hole on Exmoor. They could not be more friendly and the bed was amazing! The flat was spotlessly clean and there many sweet touches for your stay. We are Airbnb hosts too, so really appreciated the welcome and help- a lovely couple....we will definitely be back again soon. A perfect place for a weekend away. Thank you.

The apartment was in an excellent position in the middle of town, close to everything we needed. The apartment itself was nicely finished and well appointed throughout. Was a lovely touch having fresh milk in the fridge!

Great cosy space, perfect for 2 to go exploring in Exmoor! Very comfy bed and the shower is great and really spacious. Enough of a kitchen to do breakfast/ sandwiches and then perfect location for either pub in the village later on :)

We absolutely adored our Quarme cottage stay. It was perfect for a family of 5 and was the best spot for our exploration of Exmoor National Park. We loved our time in Dunster and Porlock - the history of the towns and beauty of the landscape was fantastic. The cottage was ideal in both charm and accommodation. The cream tea was really delicious and we enjoyed eating the as we watched the pheasants and sheep outside our window. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Katherine’s place. The host was very friendly and helpful. The house and kitchen stuff/cutleries were sparkling clean. Heating was quite good and effective. In front of the house there’s stunning view that we’ll never forget. Hopefully will be back in future.

You can expect to be well looked after with lovely touches in a warm and cosy sparkling clean cottage with great onsite facilities and gorgeous outlook and surroundings. Katherine and Nick are very warm and welcoming... great hosts. Our family party of 5 all loved it. Great location too... Dunster very pretty.. local pubs really good food. We thoroughly recommend.

This is the second time in 2 years I've stayed at Chris and Freya's and it didn't disappoint! Myself and some friends had stayed the year before and we didn't hesitate to book the barn again as it's so comfortable to relax in after long days of walking all over Exmoor. It's thoroughly clean, cosy and set in such a beautiful location . Chris and Freya are the perfect hosts: helpful friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Would recommend to anyone

Chris provided us with some very helpful recommendations on local walks and places to eat and when we arrived there were some lovely wild flowers on the table to greet us. The beds were very comfortable and the place was clean and cosy and had everything we needed for the weekend. We had a lovely stay and would return/recommend.

This is a unique location with stunning views. We were warmly welcomed despite being delayed by extreme traffic conditions. The cottage was super clean and the cottage use instructions were friendly and informative. We would stay again, it was so peaceful.

This is a lovely place to stay - couldn't be better. Katherine is an easy-going, very welcome and also efficient host, at hand to help with any queries. The cottage is very comfortable, all that you could want.

This cottage is absolutley perfect. The photos do not do it justice and do not do the grounds justice. The cottage was perfect size for our family of four (and our dog). Secure, very clean, all the little touches you could need. The kids loved the games room with table tennis and pool and also exploring on the walks through the fields. At the cottage you are 5 mins walk from a local shop and the local pub and only short drives from Porlock, Minehead, Exford, Lynton and Lymouth. We explored all of the above in our 3 days and still had plenty of time to relax. With the hosting from Nick and Katherine, the location and the cottage, we couldn't have asked for more and will be booking directly for next year.

We only had a brief stay at Rose Cottage but appreciated the fact that it was super clean. It was perfectly located for our purposes, and Katherine was a very warm and friendly host. The cottage was lovely and toasty during our autumn stay, and had everything we could have needed. The indoor fireplace is electric (which we hadn't realised from the photos).

Katherine’s place is in a delightful setting in the countryside. The place itself has everything you could need in an Airbnb, and use of the abundant grounds as well. Katherine went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and instantly comfortable in the cottage. Couldn’t recommend her place more highly!

Rose cottage at Little Quarm is a great place to stay. Excellent location for walks right from your doorstep or a short drive to other notable locations around Exmoor. The hosts, Katherine & Nick, are superb and very helpful. We stayed during ‘mini’ best from the east which landed good dump of snow in the Wheddon Cross area. Nick and Katherine worked hard to make sure everyone was comfortable.
