Holiday rentals in Saint Mary-of-the-Woods

My husband and I enjoyed a quick little getaway not too far from home, and it was absolutely wonderful. We were blown away by how clean, beautiful, and thoughtfully decorated the place was — it truly felt like we had escaped Indiana altogether. My husband, who loves to fish, caught several during our stay, and we both loved soaking in the peaceful, scenic surroundings. The boathouse was a particular favorite of ours, and it was clear how much love, creativity, and attention to detail had gone into every corner of the property. Richard, our host, was amazing — we had a great conversation about the history of the place and even learned that he’s a talented wood carver. We definitely plan to come back again. Highly recommend!

Nice little home with lots of extra amenities.

The Getaway is the perfect name for this place. We went for me and my husband’s anniversary and it was very relaxing. We didn’t have to worry about anything as they have everything from plates, cups, etc to miscellaneous items you wouldn’t think you may need and they come in handy. We also got lucky to see some deer out in the field! Super exciting. We will be back again for sure.

The small white cabin just off in the woods, far enough to make it peaceful and relaxing inside you’ll find all your amenities very clean and well thought of..

I found out I was going to have a weekend off after 4 months. I decided I needed to get away to sometime more peaceful. We had been to the area in the past to visit the Inidana State Sanatorium and my son wanted to go for another visit. I stumbled upon Andrea's place, and it was pet friendly. My first time bringing my pooches. Her property is beautiful and everything I was looking for. The home is spacious and clean. I loved the outside sitting areas. Good place to listen to nature, the small river and have a cup of coffee in the morning, or have a relaxing drink in the evening. There are a few paddle boats on the property. So much fun! And a swimming hole on the other side. Andrea is a lovely host, so friendly and happy to know you're enjoying yourself and the space she provides. I would definitely recommend her property and would love to visit again when I need some time away

This was such a cute little property, that I'm very sad that I won't need to go back with my dogs because my dog show is moving! The dogs loved the fenced yard (althought they didn't catch the rabbit that gave them a run for their money!) The house was even cuter than I remembered from the listing. Travis was a great hose (even though I messed up and had only booked for 2 of the 3 nights I needed!) Great place!

This house was perfect for our girls’ weekend. Plenty of comfortable spaces to hang out both inside and outside. Comfy beds. Overall very peaceful, which is exactly what we needed!

Our family came together from across the U.S. and even New Zealand for our mother’s Celebration life service and this beautiful lake house was the perfect place for it. The host was very accommodating, and the home had everything we needed—plenty of space, a great pool, game room to die for, peaceful lake views, and spots to gather both inside and out. We fished, shared meals, and spent quality time together. It was the perfect setting for such a meaningful time, and we’re so thankful for the memories we made here.

What a lovely visit. The cabin was perfect! Scenery was great in addition to owls and deer. The heated floors and luxury blankets were perfect additions to a great stay. This place was everything I could have wanted and more! I will be back!!!!!
