By car, the popular excursion destinations Wasserkuppe and Milseburg can be reached in approx. 10 minutes. At 950 m, the Wasserkuppe is the highest mountain in Hesse and offers a wide range of leisure activities for the whole family (skiing, sailing and paragliding, summer toboggan run, climbing forest, etc.).

The holiday home is located in the climatic health resort of Finsterbergen, right on the edge of the forest in a small bungalow settlement. Due to its location, it offers an ideal starting point for hikes (Rennsteig). The leisure pool with mini golf and volleyball and a tennis court are about 200 m away.

The house is modernly furnished and the garden offers plenty of space for free development. In the winter months, it is perfect for winter sports in and around Oberhof, in the rest of the year, it is great for hiking, cycling and sightseeing in and around the Thuringian Forest and much more. The sauna and hot tub need preparation. If you want to use it, please let us know after booking. We also have a pool that you are welcome to use in the summer by arrangement.

Vacation home with sauna

We moved from the city to an old farm in 2016 and live here together with our dog Dago and three cats in the middle of Schwarzenfels, a municipality of the city of Sinntal, below the beautiful Schwarzenfels Castle. We are gradually renovating the farm. In 2020, our "vacation home" project was completed and we are looking forward to our guests.
