Nature has rebounded quickly & you will see abundant wildlife grazing the meadow, with moose and elk visiting daily. Spacious mountain retreat 1,000 feet from one of three lakes, 1.5 miles from town, and 5 minutes from RMNP. House is on a bench overlooking Shadow Mountain Lake on 4 wooded acres and has lots of space for larger groups. Relax on the porch, gaze into a campfire, play horse shoes, or hang in a hammock among the pine trees. Great views, comfortable living and easy access. Winter access to endless snowmobiling and prime skiing: Winter Park (45 minutes) and Granby Ranch (15 minutes).

This historic yet modern 500 square foot cabin was built in 1932 for men working on the Shadow Mountain dam. When we found it, we knew this would be the perfect getaway for us and wanted others to share this experience too. Our cabin is 4 miles from downtown Grand Lake! It's a short drive to restaurants, shops, hiking, fishing, the beach and kayak/boat rentals. Head to the Rocky Mountain National park to hike and see wildlife or stay home and enjoy s'mores around the fire.
