Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Shelby County

My wife and I along with a few other couples came in town to go to Alabama homecoming and Ashley's place was perfect! The neighborhood is super quiet and peaceful and there are some great walking/running trails right next to the house. All of the beds were clean and comfortable, and the rooms were very spacious. We did not spend a lot of time at the house with everything going on for the weekend but it was nice to have a beautiful and spacious place to come back to. Would definitely recommend staying here and if needed, we will be coming back!

Fantastic home! Less than 15 minutes from the airport and walking distance to a good number of restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Home was updated and had plenty of room for all four of us. I will definitely be booking Ericas place again next time I am in Birmingham.

Came to town for a wedding and was a perfect spot for what we needed. Couple minute drive from the farmers market and easy drive or uber to downtown. Only pieces of advice is the kitchen has pans/utensils but no pantry supplies so would bring your own oil/seasoning etc if you plan to cook and get groceries. Also you can park in the back which I might recommend if there are multiple cars. There was plenty of street parking but a neighbor complained it was difficult to get out of the driveway on the opposite side as we had several vehicles since we were all coming from different cities. Would stay there again if ever in Birmingham.

traveled to Birmingham for a wedding and found this Airbnb to be exactly what we needed. Location was great for all of our wedding activities. Plenty of stores to get groceries and such. Host was very to communicate with

Can’t find a better spot than Rick’s houses along the trail. You know exactly what you’re getting and everything is set up perfectly for an 8 man golf trip. This house is a football field away from the Oxmoor club house and sits on hole 10 of the Ridge course. Great stay once again!

Our group loved this place. The whole house was filled with fun, quirky decorations. We were always finding some new discussion piece. All of the rooms were amazing, beds were super comfy. It was great that all rooms had their own bathroom. There are a lot of steps for those with mobility issues. The neighborhood was very peaceful. The house is right across the street from the police station. We spent a lot of time sitting on the front porch. We were within walking distance of several restaurants. We rented the whole house so we had access to multiple fridges, coffee stations, microwaves. There were tons of supplies - TP, soap, towels, and even spare toiletries like deodorant, toothbrushes, etc. I would definitely stay here again. Our only critique is the kitchen is pretty small for a large group. But, this might have been a good thing. It limits the number of people who can “help” (or get in the way) with meal prep😀

I would rate the place a 4.5 out of 5 stars, but I would give it a five based exclusively on the responsiveness of the host to all of our requests. The location is good and walkable to all of downtown Birmingham, including the science center across the street. We had a nice stay, and although the parking situation was a little confusing, clear directions from the host made this easy to navigate. Aside from the walls between units being a little thin, I would highly recommend this place very sheik loft to anyone looking for a different kind of experience.

This place was perfect for what we needed. A cute cozy place that feels very welcoming. It was clean, organized and smelled lovely. Absolutely loved how soft the beds were! Would absolutely stay again!

Great place to stay at. It was the perfect size place for the 2 of us to stay at. Also way better than our stay at hotels nearby.

We loved our stay at this beautiful place! It was just like the pictures, but better. Everything was cleaned and amazing. Didn’t have to wait an hour for a response. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone who travels here!

This was an incredible stay. They had the place very well stocked. We could walk to restaurants and ice cream for the kiddos. We would definitely stay again!

My wife and I stayed at Joe's for 6 nights and it was an amazing place to stay. Awesome location which made almost everywhere we went in the city just a short walk. Tons of places to eat including some of the best pizza we've ever had right on the first floor of the building! Highly recommended spot! We'd been concerned about parking in the city for our rental car, but the $4 per day lot almost right across the street was a win! Thank you Joe, you'll definitely be hearing from us if we are down that way again.

Great location. Exactly what was shown in photos. Check in was easy and Marie was so helpful in getting my family and I checked out early before some severe weather, which was greatly appreciated! We will definitely stay here again!

As a college basketball Offical you just want somewhere to lay your head but also to be nice and clean. This little apartment checked all the boxes. Super nice and very clean Definitely will be staying here again
