Kitchen Cottage - The Anderson Cottage Bed and Breakfast

Our "Kitchen Cottage" is a former brick kitchen, separate from the main house, converted into a separate cottage. The Kitchen Cottage operates year-round and includes three bedrooms (with four beds, plus a sofa-bed), two bathrooms, a full kitchen / dining area with a gas stove fireplace, and a living room with windows on three sides looking out onto Warm Springs Run. Breakfast supplies and housekeeping service are provided. The upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a full bath featuring a tub and shower. Downstairs, another queen bedroom looks out onto the creek. A second bedroom downstairs includes two twin beds. The downstairs has its own bathroom with shower, as well as laundry facilities. A sofa-bed in the living area and an optional air mattress may provide additional sleeping space. Brick construction suggests the kitchen was not built until the 1820s or later. A wide passageway connected it to the main house, providing space for food preparation, washing dishes, cleaning and refilling kerosene lamps, and other chores. The kitchen served guests who stayed not only in the main house but also in the Mow and the Big Cottage, two structures located to the south, which no longer exist. In the 1990s, this old kitchen was remodeled into a separate dwelling, with a modern kitchen, as well as a new living room that looks out to the stream and grounds. The Kitchen Cottage offers plenty of space for a family, a group of friends, or work colleagues, including the ability to prepare your own meals. The large drop leaf table in the living room may be used for dining, jigsaw puzzles, small meetings, or other projects.

A wall-mounted light fixture with a woven gold design is positioned against a white wooden backdrop. The warm glow from the light creates a soft ambiance in the surrounding area, enhancing the overall decor.
