Tiny house holiday rentals in Shenandoah Valley

A rustic cabin in the woods for some R and R was what we had hoped for…and we got it! Beautiful wood beams. So nice to have a private bathroom, as well as a window unit for heat and A/C. The shared kitchen was less than 50 feet away and had all the cooking vessels, utensils and cookware to make a meal. But we loved going to cafe! Barbara and her team served up delicious meals.

The place was excellent and Robin is extremely accommodating. It was the perfect distance from Shenandoah National Park (about 40 mins from Old Rag). I only wish I could have spent more time there during the day with beautiful property and very friendly barn animals. Will certainly be back when I come this way again!

We loved the yurt! Everything was perfect and my little one enjoyed the campfire! We’ll be back for sure, especially during summer!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cozy cottage! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a sweet personal note that made us feel right at home. The location is stunning, and we wish we could have explored the trails, but the weather and our other commitments kept us busy. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy everything this beautiful place has to offer!

This place was our best choice even before we realized there would be a freshly-prepared, multi-course gourmet breakfast. House is as advertised, clean, and well-located. Scott and Lisa are friendly, responsive, and fantastic cooks. Enjoy!

We had such an incredible stay here to celebrate our one-year anniversary! The property is peaceful, beautiful, and private. We really enjoyed cooking our meals and eating them out on the patio, soaking in the hot tubs, exploring the grounds, and, of course, hanging out with Bilbo! We felt right at home, and Kim and Greg were perfect hosts who responded to our questions. We are already planning another trip to return!

Very cozy and peaceful cabin. Great porch to sit out in the morning to drink coffee and enjoy the beautiful views. Great fire pit to keep us warm while sitting out watching the stars. Woodstove and warm blankets made it comfy inside at night. Our 2 dogs loved it as well. Houston and Anne Marie were marvelous hosts, proactive with check in instructions, and responsive throughout our stay, making sure we had plenty of firewood. This was our first stay but we've already planned our next visit in the spring! Highly recommend the Humble Abode.

Frank was an excellent host. He stopped by to visit and really wanted to know where the guests were from. Would rent from him again.

Beautiful and unique little spot. Great place to get comfortable and watch a movie or relax in the hot tub with your significant other. Feels very private and good distance to downtown and other things in the area.

Perfect, relaxing and private

What an absolutely amazing place! The creek and surrounding property are so peaceful and beautiful, very private. The back porch area was our favorite, it’s laid out perfectly, and you definitely get that Treehouse feel sitting out on the deck overlooking the property! The inside space is also fabulously designed, so well thought out with the perfect amount of space, immaculately clean and has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay! Mark and Mandi were some of the best, most thoughtful and considerate hosts we’ve encountered. We thoroughly enjoyed our time, it’s been one of our favorite Airbnb stays to date! We look forward to returning hopefully in warmer weather to enjoy the creek more!

the cabin was beautiful and the set up was so convenient. I stayed with my wife and we sat outside by the fire pit which was serene with mood lighting, and we relaxed all night. the owner has firewood ready to use and easy to transport. Didn't try the wood fired sauna, but the directions were clear and easy and it did look worth dipping into. The interior was just like the pictures. We had a great time! Thank you.

This place is amazing! The host was really great and made us feel very welcome! We thoroughly appreciated the kindness that he showed us. The view was beautiful and the house itself was very cozy and clean. We loved the minimalist vibe and would 100% come again!

We absolutely loved our stay in the hobbit house for our 5th year wedding anniversary! Marlan and is wife Miriam are very kind and personable. The handiwork of the dome structure Marlan created was remarkable. How wonderful to fall asleep to a roaring fire and listen to the spring peepers and wood frogs! We enjoyed a number of nearby hikes within a 30 min drive. It was overall a beautiful stay.

We stayed to visit Cass Scenic Railroad, and Kristie’s place was comfortable, affordable and it felt so welcoming! I would definitely recommend and cannot wait to plan another trip and another stay here! Kristie was responsive and so helpful to any questions! The environment was welcoming, and comfortable. LOVED IT!!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was darling. We are local so this was just a fun getaway. Donnie had lots of suggestions of places to eat around there. It felt private but lots of wineries nearby. I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you again for a wonderful experience.

We had a fantastic time! Katie and Jen are extremely helpful and friendly hosts who went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. The property is beautiful. The tiny home is very well appointed with everything you need. The queen bed was comfortable and my teenage son slept well on the chair that converted to a twin bed. Instructions were clear from booking to check out with very responsive host, we never had an unanswered question. We’ll be back!

We stayed in the Hob over the weekend. It was rustic, but clean and cozy. It was close enough to restaurants, and there is plenty to do in the area. They recommended Pine Lodge for steak and it was delicious! Very kind hosts and enjoyable to talk too, as well😊

This was our third time staying at the beloved Shenandoah shire hobbit house this time we had a valentines weekend get away. we adore this cabin and have the best time doing absolutely nothing! It’s peaceful, beautiful, private, cozy and always a magical stay for us. Everytime I leave I look forward to booking my next stay!

The cabin was the perfect spot for a weekend away from the city. It had all the things we were looking for — campfire for smores, spots for stargazing, and land for the dog to run around. Firewood included was a huge plus! There’s not much around, but a little country store had everything we needed. We look forward to returning and plan to rent the chalet with friends. Thanks for such a great weekend!
