Monthly Rentals in Shimominochi District, Sakae

I enjoy staying in places where I can interact with people and make new friends. Both Toshi and Kiomi were super friendly and helpful. They helped with rides, as well as cooked several meals for the guests. It was a very relaxing and inviting place. They were clear about the house description and thin walls, but everyone was respectful, so there was no problem.

Great location near the train station. A very comfortable home with all the amenities you could want. The host was conscientious, communicated well and we felt she truly cared that we enjoyed our stay. Within walking distance to groceries, lots of good restaurants, a community onsen and fantastic local museums (i.e., Tokomachi City Museum TOPPAKU and Echigo-Tsumari Satoyama Contemporary Art Museum MonET).

This beautiful traditional ryokan is something perfect and I will never forget the sinplicity and beauty of this place. Clean and quiet, with a beautiful garden with a pond and fountain. The lovely lady who runs the ryokan drove us to the snow monkey park and picked us up from the park to drive us to the train station. A forever memory in our hearts.

It was just right for 3 adults and 4 children. The response to questions was also quick and helpful. It was well cleaned and very clean. However, there are a lot of stink bugs, so I think it would be tough for those who are not resistant.
