This private traditional kominka guesthouse was lovingly renovated by the owner, JP, a DIY enthusiast, who envisioned his ideal way of life, transforming a 150-year-old traditional house. The stand-out feature of this inn is its one-of-a-kind ‘egg sauna’. This is a fully DIY sauna, developed entirely by JP from design to production, featuring a unique shape that allows heat to circulate naturally.Enjoy a sauna experience you can only have here, surrounded by the gentle warmth of a wood-burning stove. Inside, there is also an irori (traditional hearth) characteristic of a traditional kominka house. You can experience traditional Japanese living, whether it’s enjoying a hotpot around the irori (traditional hearth) or grilling skewers. *Please bring your own ingredients and cooking utensils, such as skewers. The inn is located in a quiet hamlet called Kobusa, nestled in the mountains of Mimasaka City, Okayama Prefecture. Right nearby is Nishi-Awakura Village, which is attracting attention as a village focused on regional revitalisation and relocation, and which is surrounded by a beautiful, nature-rich ‘satoyama’ landscape. Lani (mountain side) - a whole rental cottage near "Kii-Kabochaya" in Setouchi National Park

This is a rental cottage by the sea on Naoshima, a sacred place for art. There are two buildings, one on the sea side and one on the mountain side, and Lani is the building on the mountain side. Free parking is available on-site, which is rare in Naoshima. The building is a separate two-story building, and the first floor bedroom has 6 beds, and the second floor Japanese-style room can accommodate up to 2 futons, so it can accommodate 6 to 8 people. It is ideal for families and friends, as well as for student training camps and seminars, as it has a family-type kitchen and washing machine. It is a 3-minute walk from OHANA to Yellow Pumpkin, and a 2-minute walk from the nearest bus stop, making it an ideal base for sightseeing in Naoshima. Enjoy a relaxing time in Naoshima in a room made with plenty of wood by a local carpenter. We have also started a Naoshima sightseeing tour for Ohana guests. There are many places in Naoshima, such as the art museum, that require reservations in advance, and we hope to provide a more fulfilling Naoshima sightseeing experience for those who use the tour, such as arranging tickets, car pick-up and drop-off, and even Naoshima sightseeing by rental bicycle. Shodoshima, 30 seconds to the sea, you can see the sea from any room

This house is located on the quiet seaside of Shodoshima Town. It is a house built just to watch the sunset over the sea. Unfortunately, we have a lot of stairs on the terrace, so it's not barrier free. (I will do my best to help with your luggage, etc.) However, at the top of the high terrace, the calm and beautiful sea of Setouchi, sparkling with sunlight, and the changing faces of the crimson sunset await you every day. Please enjoy an extraordinary time and forget about the time. You enter the room by climbing the terrace stairs. It is not barrier free. Please be sure to have an adult accompany you when going up and down stairs with small children. Also, there are many stairs on rainy days, so it may be inconvenient. Also, the road in front of the inn is not paved. Please note that this may cause some inconvenience. There are many insects because there is a lot of nature around the house. Insects may enter when windows or doors are opened or closed. (Especially at night, insects gather in the light of the inn) We are very sorry, but please refrain from staying if you don't like insects.

Haus2354 is within 5 minutes walking distance from Ieura Port, the main gateway of the island. It is also very close to Teshima Yokoo House and is in the area where you can find small shops and eating places. Haus2354 is a Japanese style house with Japanese style floor bedding, and we rent out a whole house during your stay. There are direct boats from Teshima to Shodoshima, Naoshima and Inujima. This place could be your base for island hopping considering its good access to the port.
