Situated within the São Mamede Natural Park, from Pouso you can walk up a medieval track to the hilltop town of Marvão where "one can see the entire land" (José Saramago).

Tapada da Raia has 35 acres of land, in the Natural Park of Serra de São Mamede (being the last Portuguese house, because it is bordered to Spain).
