The cutest house in the Sintra area. Only 15min drive to Sintra, the same to nearby beaches. We were traveling with 3 children, the house was well equipped with everything we needed for the kids. There is a nice bakery/cafe 4min walk away which was perfect for breakfast. Great find!

Our experience at João’s place was truly excellent. The house was exactly as described in the profile, with all the necessary amenities. The location is amazing, perfect for exploring the beautiful sights around. Additionally, João was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I highly recommend this experience!

We felt very comfortable in the apartment. The kitchen is well equipped and the apartment has a pleasant flair. When the weather is nice, the roof terrace is a good place to chill, overlooking the sea and the quaint village of Almocagem. Definitely a recommendation. Would we book again.

Amazing host, amazing place. The house is located at a short distance from the ocean shoreline and the beach. You can walk or drive by car to get there. The place was all we hoped for and more. The house had everything a family might need and made us feel like home. Thank you for the welcoming food and if we visit the area again we will book this house again. Cheers !

The house is great, better than on the pictures. We were family of 9 people from 3 to 67 years old, and everyone were happy with the place. Huge outside area, lots of toys, beach equipment, etc. The only thing bothered us were mosquitoes during the first night. There are no mosquitoes nets on the windows. Next day we bought Raid and it helped, so buy it in advance. Rita was awesome and very responsive. Thank you for the great stay

We had a wonderful stay at this family style home and Luis was a very generous host. Lovely outdoor space for meals and beautifully kept backyard. The beach was a short walk away but remember it gets very busy during August. Many places to eat and drink but the absolute best thing was the great market so close to the house full of fresh seafood and local produce. Note that the house is a basement floor so it can get quite cool and damp, so come prepared with some warm clothes for the night. Also ear plugs are helpful for sleep as it is on a main road. A fantastic place and a very pleasant weekend away. Thank you Luis!

Jose was lovely he greeted us by sms just as we had landed. Left us wine and gave us lots of restaurants to visit which are highly recommended. He literally welcomed us into his home. A home away from home. Highly recommend👏🏻

A family of 14, we stayed one night at Xiuhua's home. Very friendly and responsive person, she responded to any questions or requests we had. The house is very nice, simple but properly equipped. The environment is not necessarily the prettiest but close enough to the center of Lisbon (30 minutes by car) and very quiet (important with children). Thanks to Xiuhua for hosting us (small check-in gifts) and availability. I would this property.

Quinta da Bella Vista exceeded expectations. Dinesh, who checked us in, truly set the mood for our elopement with welcoming jazz music, wine, and cheese. The space was much larger than we anticipated, perfect for our pre-wedding prep. We loved it so much, we added an extra day to soak it all in! Aline and Dinesh's hospitality went above and beyond – their responsiveness to our needs made everything seamless. We couldn't resist adding the delicious breakfast each day (highly recommend!), fueling our explorations of the charming town within walking distance. Evenings were spent enjoying deliveries via the Glovo app, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. The Quinta itself is breathtaking – stunning grounds, incredible views, and beautiful architecture. It couldn't have been a more magical place to celebrate our elopement. Quinta da Bella Vista holds a very special place in our hearts, and we'll definitely be back for anniversaries and any other excuse we can find!

Excellent location, a few minutes’ walk from a fine beach with restaurants, waves, and surfing. Great well-equipped private villa with expansive grounds and a swimming pool. Rui and Helena are excellent hosts and provided great care and attention during our stay. Hope to return in the future.

Great place very comfortable and well equipes and with super nice touches. It’s near Sintra and with a easy access to the nice hidden beaches (Praia da Ursa, etc.) on the coast line and just 30 minutes from Cascais.

Simply outstanding... this is without doubt one of the most beautiful holiday homes we've been lucky enough to stay in. The house is impeccable in every way.. it's spotless and spacious, and is beautifully decorated - it comes with everything you could possibly need. We stayed here for a week for a family reunion and it was perfect - the kids had a ball in the pool and we were spoilt with a stunning view of Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle on the hills. The location is great for peace and quiet, but it's equally close to shops and restaurants. If we have our way, we'll definitely be back here. Filipa and Margarida are wonderful hosts - thank you to both of you for making our stay so special.

WOW what a house - we had a fantastic stay in this home. So much space and beautiful landscaping. We explored Sintra and had a surfing lesson at Praia Grande. The drive down to the supermarket is a little hairy but all part of the adventure! The home is beautiful and everything you could need - loved the Steam Room!

Luis & Beatriz are amazing hosts. The home was beautiful and so quiet and peaceful. The grounds were AMAZING and peaceful. We truly enjoyed our time there and will look forward to returning in the future. We highly recommend this property for those visiting the Terrugem/Sintra area. The Oak Cafe was wonderful for brunch and you must have dinner at least 1 night at Azenhas do Mar, for the food and views as well as Mercado Saloio located in Sintra for the nightly music and delicious food and good service. The spa in Cascais is amazing as well. All recommendations of Luis & Beatriz Other places we found were the Marina and shops in Cascais as well as a wonderful little eatery for brunch/ lunch called Mugs Brunch and Cafe in Pedregal. Amazing views and delicious food. Thanks Luis & Beatriz for making our first trip to Portugal amazing. Looking forward to returning.

A Capela was a wonderful, peaceful place. It close to the heart of Sintra but far enough away to feel private. They have a connection with a nearby cafe for daily breakfast options that were delicious. The grounds are quaint with fruit trees, a pool, and a table to eat outside. There was a peacock and rooster on the grounds, which were listed in the description. It goes without saying, but the rooster crows, so keep that in mind - it did not bother us. If you eat outside, the rooster might come to join you, but we did not feed him and he eventually left :) The showers are very nice with adequate hot water - be careful if you have young children because the beautiful tile floors in the bathroom can become slick if you don't wipe them dry. The host was very nice and responsible, and the person who checked us in and out was easy to communicate with via the messaging app. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nice!

We had a really good week in this house. We felt very comfortable and comfortable. We also feel the affection and welcoming that the space gives us in its last detail. All we have to say is thank you and definitely indicate for those who want to be in a clean, comfortable and very nice place. ✨✨✨✨✨

We felt very at home and Ângela was a lovely and friendly host. We wanted a relaxing peaceful week by the pool with the odd day out and it was perfect for that. The house is a lovely size with everything you need and very comfortable. The pool was great, we were very happy and sad to leave when our week was up. Great supermarket near by and a lovely restaurant up the hill, all walkable. The sea and Sintra a short drive away.

Beautiful villa, nicely decorated and peaceful. The site is well located, close to Sintra and Cascais. You can also rally Lisbon. Access to beaches towards Sintra and Cascais. Hosts extremely concerned about guests' needs. Enjoy your stay in Sao Joa das Lampas.

We loved our week in Laura’s house! We arrived very late in the evening but that was no issue at all because we could collect the key via lockbox. The house and property looked even better than expected from the photos! Everything is well maintained and renovated, but still with some south European Oceanside Charme. The size of the house was perfect for 6 adults (3 couples) with its two bathrooms. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. The pool is not heated (we obviously knew this in advance) but after a couple minutes you get used to it :D We had everything we could ask for in and around the house. As mentioned in other reviews there are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood. I don’t think they were as loud as people make it out to be. They are not in the direct neighboring houses so it is a rather distant sound I think. I didn’t hear them at night. If so you would just need to close the window. All in all it was a perfect stay at Laura’s and we’d do it again!
