Jose’s place is perfect for a solo traveler or couple. It is strategically located close to lots of good restaurants and bars and easy to get public transportation from. It stays cool during the day even without AC in the common space which can be a rare thing in Barranquilla. If you go during rainy season, just be aware there’s a large “arroyo” on the corner. If you’re working, the internet is very fast and reliable. Jose is incredibly responsive and was always ready to help when needed. We would definitely stay here again when back in Barranquilla.

This place had everything you needed. Plenty of shower towels and wash cloths. Tools needed to cook; cutting board, knives, pot, pans, plenty of dishes too. AC unit works and can even turn off the light to it. Basically reminded of home due to having plenty of items without having to go buy them.
