Princes Street and the Dean Village and art galleries are 10 minutes walk away (0.5miles), the Conference Centre is 5 minutes walk away (0.25miles) and the Castle and Old Town are 20 minutes walk (1mile). There are numerous excellent restaurants and pubs in the vicinity, and for rugby fans Murrayfield is a 22 minute walk away (1.1miles).

The self catering cottage is situated in a semi rural location in around 2 acres of land. It sits next to a working Apiary so plenty of opportunity to see honeybees in action. The location allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds, peace and quiet or venture out to Braveheart and Outlander locations

The house is in a quiet hamlet, a 20 minute drive from Glasgow city centre. The house holds a good central position close to airports; Glasgow airport is 30 minutes away and Edinburgh airport is 40 minutes drive and is a good base for a variety of day trips in and around the city. Twechar is situated on the Forth and Clyde canal which is used for cycling, walking and kayaking. There are many walks in and around Twechar itself for instance the Roman Fort and easy access to the Trossachs.

The railway station at Falkirk High with a journey time of 20 minutes to both Glasgow and Edinburgh is a 10 minute drive.
