“The Saluda River Retreat cabin was a spectacular getaway for my boyfriend and I! We were looking for a secluded location that was near water because we like to fish but still close enough to town in case we needed something emergent, and this cabin actually had its own river front on the Saluda River. We fished probably every night and caught a couple catfish. The cabin was pristinely clean and all amenities were available and complimentary! Nicole went the extra mile and printed off a list of the closest waterfalls, with directions, after I mentioned we wanted to go hike some while we were there. Also, there was a personal warm welcome note from the hosts as you walked in the door. Made us feel like we were valued as guests! Also, Nicole and Dan advised us before hand that the internet was spotty at the cabin and then they upgraded their service right before we arrived making the cabin even more enjoyable listening to music as we laid in the hammocks! Needless to say, we are looking at dates in the Fall for another relaxing stay at the Saluda River Retreat!”

“The pictures don't do it justice! The lodge is in a great spot with views from the back and front. It looks out on a pasture with horses and the mist from the mountains. The lodge itself is very clean, and very comfortable. Nancy takes great care, beds were comfortable and clean with extra blankets. There were plenty of towels and staples in the kitchen. There's a great little gas fireplace and access to a fire pit that Nancy had prepared for us. She even left movies, games and books for our kids. We would recommend the lodge and we would love to stay there again.”

“Hawks Nest was perfect for our group of 4! It was not “in town” but that is what we were looking for! Everything was within a 15-30 minute drive. The house itself was beautiful and well equipped. We made a full dinner one night and the kitchen was well stocked with cookware. The beds were comfy and bathrooms also spacious and clean. The only negative if I had to give one is the noise from upstairs is startling at first to those sleeping downstairs. You could wheat every step and when water ran upstairs it was definitely heard downstairs. Again - that was the only thing not absolutely ideal.. Great stay and will be coming again!”
