Lesund is located in Aure municipality which is well known for its nice archipelago and nice mountains with many marked hiking trails Nearby there is a coastal fort from the Second World War that has nice hiking trails, barbecue areas and a small zipline for children and young people. Lesund is located approximately halfway between Kristiansund and Trondheim with 2h each way.

Hiking opportunities in the area are almost endless. Rental of rowing boat is agreed at least 1 week BEFORE check-in, for boat experts (summer only).
