This cottage is a countryside delight, tucked away on a quiet lane but just a few miles away from stores, from the charms of downtown Sonoma, and from incredible food options and stunning nature hikes. One of the highlights of our whole trip was the opportunity that Philip provides guests to enjoy his creekside garden. With the soothing rhythms of the bubbling creek and the gorgeous views of the nearby vineyards and distant hills, the garden, located across the road from the cottage and adorned with a cozy gazebo, was an unbelievably serene and comforting space. Philip had also provided us with an incredibly helpful list of local recommendations, and had stocked the cottage with books featuring historical details and stunning photos of the Sonoma Valley. While his recommendations helped us make the most of our time outside of the cottage, his thoughtfulness and lovely place brought us just as much fulfillment while at the cottage. Thank you Philip, for a wonderful stay in Sonoma.

Amalie’s place was a wonderful option for exploring Napa. I stayed for a month and was able to explore the vineyards north of downtown, San Francisco, the hiking both close and further away, as well as snowboarding in Tahoe all in one trip. The home is wonderful and clean with plenty of room. I felt like I had everything I needed and got to play with Otis (the pup) when I was coming in and out of the apartment. Amali is very responsive and helped me with recommendations! I had a gym nearby at HealthQuest and it was an amazing experience. I’m thankful for the family for treating me so well during my stay!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. It was a perfect rental for a couple looking to explore Sonoma wine country! It’s very private, quiet, and is exactly as the listing. The decor is thoughtful and well done. The bed was comfy and the shower had great pressure. Having a pool and hot tub are great bonuses. It’s about a 30 minute walk to the square and great restaurants/bars. The Girl and the Fig is a must and Mary’s pizza shack had great pizza. If you’re extra lucky you’ll get a visit from Penny the Whippet - definitely one of our highlights! You won’t be disappointed with this rental as your wine country home away from home.

We absolutely loved our stay! The grounds are stunning — the flower gardens are not only beautiful but also filled the air with the most incredible fragrance. The chickens added such a fun, charming touch. The home itself was very comfortable for both me and my daughter, and we especially appreciated how well-stocked the kitchen was — it made cooking meals easy and enjoyable. We’d definitely love to return!
