House holiday rentals in South Carlsbad State Beach

One of our favorite airbnbs of all time. The location is great, super accessible to everything in San Diego. The house itself was private, comfortable, and had great amenities. We will definitely be back.

Vanessa's place is in a very very quiet neighborhood just steps from the bay. I am a SD native, I know the city very well. I actually lived in the area for many years. This place is totally worth it if your traveling with a family with kids. Plenty to do, plenty of space to sit and relax inside and outside. It has plenty of things to keep kids busy from books to toys very very nice touch. If available when we return definitely will be staying here. The short walk to watch the sunset in the ocean is worth every penny..

My family and I came down for our daughter's spring break. We wanted a quiet comfortable home for the kids and centrally located to take our day trips to Legoland, the Midway, and SeaWorld. This spot was perfect for all of this. Host was responsive, property was beautiful, and was also close to shopping centers. We will definitely see if this space is available during our next San Diego trip.

What a lovely home! We spent 5 days here with our family of 5 and it was absolutely wonderful. The home is spacious and open, very clean, and beautifully decorated. We loved the pool and watching airplanes take off and land in the distance. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. Would stay here again!

We had a great stay over spring break! Our group was 5 adults & 4 children, but we never felt cramped! The neighborhood is charming and felt safe, even to this small town family. We walked into the Kensington main street area most days - for coffee (Starbucks), acai bowls & organic groceries (Stehly Farms Market), pizza, burgers (kids eat free on Tuesday!), and ice cream (you MUST try the Ube & Toffee flavor at Stella Jeans)! :) The kids loved the pool/ hot tub, although it was a shame the pool guy never checked in over our weeklong stay. With 4 children in the pool every day, the water was cloudy by the time we left. I blame myself for not letting Zeina and Mo know, as they were responsive for all my other queries. The casita was a blessing for grandma and grandpa, who needed their quiet time. The only real complaint I heard from our group was that the house smells stale (like the charming old house it is) and the laundry/pingpong area smells of mildew. Opening doors helped!

Great place with a very central location, close to the airport and zoo. We really enjoyed our stay and the amenities offered at the home. Lacee was very responsive and accommodating.

This house is a hidden gem. Vi had everything you could ever need in all areas of the house. The kitchen had every appliance, air fryer, rice cooker, ect that anyone would need. Had a ton of toys inside and outside for the kids to play with besides pack-n-play x2, high chair, baby gates, ect. Vi was always super responsive. The washer broke and she had someone out the next day and she said if they couldn't fix it, she would take our laundry and wash it herself!! Super clean, pool was warm, had a fruit plate and smores waiting for us as well as candy. We are already looking at dates to book again!

My family, furbabies, and I had a fantastic stay at Minh’s Airbnb! The space was super clean, cozy, and exactly as described in the listing. The host was very responsive and made check-in and check-out a breeze. The location was perfect—close to everything we needed, but still quiet at night. I usually suffer from insomnia in new places but I slept like a baby here and woke up completely refreshed (a rarity!). I really appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh towels, basic cooking supplies (lifesaver!!), and even toiletries. The local beer they kept in the fridge for us made my day. 😊 A thoughtful and refreshing treat after a long drive! Everything worked perfectly during our stay and I’d definitely book this place again when I return to San Diego! Thank you so much for everything, you guys are the best!!

Randy’s place was fantastic. It was as described and depicted in photos. Randy was a great host. He was very accommodating and accessible. The place was comfortable and clean. The living space/kitchen/dining area was great for our group of 6 adults. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and quiet. The location was amazing. One small block to the beach. The grocery store and coffee/bars are so close. We used the bikes, Prokadima and beach chairs. Such a great place for the price. Thank you Randy for sharing your place with us!

We really enjoyed our stay and the wonderful amenities and quiet neighborhood. The main bed was king-sized, which was perfect, and they had a pack n play for our daughter as well.

We booked Suan and Jessica's place for Easter weekend. We had planned a trip to the Flower Gardens and Legoland in Carlsbad, both of which were less than 20 minutes away from where we were staying. Not only was the place conveniently located, it offered us a spot to enjoy our family's company and dedicate our time to our grandaughter. We barbecued, watched movies, swam in swimming pool, did our own arts and crafts, etc. We had an overall amazing time at a reasonable price without the chaos and limitations of booking a hotel room. We would definitely book this place in the future if we are in the area.

I highly recommend it! Richard was a great host, I had my family visiting from Italy stay at his place. There are two comfortable bedrooms, a really cute kitchen and a living room. One bathroom. The place is a but old, but there was everything they needed and it is well maintained. Also well cleaned. My favorite part was how communicative and responsive Richard was.

We stayed at Marjorie and Dan’s house with a group of 8 that fit our two families well. The outdoor patio was great and our kids thoroughly enjoyed the orange tree. Marjorie and Dan communicated well. There was some street construction going on outside the house but the neighborhood remained quiet and peaceful at night. Had a great stay!

Great spaces for family to hang out together and separately too. Very well appointed. Loved the deck and the hot tub! Thanks Helen. We will book again sometime.

Michael was a great host. I really appreciated the opportunity to check in early even though it didn’t work out. I also appreciated the fast and efficient communication. The house was perfect for our stay. Would definitely recommend. Thanks again for your hospitality!

We stayed at Pete's place because it has a gorgeous pool (the pool slide was a huge hit), is close to Del Mar racetrack, and is close to the beach/ocean (you can see the ocean from the front yard). We took our two Bichons and felt safe and secure letting them out. We have family in San Diego and had a small family cook out on Sunday. The grill was awesome, and there are lots of fun things to do on the property, front and back yards. We didn't take advantage of the jacuzzi, but it was already heated up. Since the house doesn't have air conditioning, there were fans in the family room and bedroom. Large kitchen, so you can cook and bake if you don't want to eat out all the time. The house is single story, but outside there are lots of levels where you have to go up and down some single steps,so small children would need help and elderly or disabled folks may need help, too. Pete gave great directions about how to access the main entrance, and the self check-in security code.

The host was incredibly responsive and quickly took care of any issues that arose, making sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The backyard was a highlight—serene, peaceful, and beautifully landscaped. The value for the price was definitely worth it, and we'd highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Really enjoyed our stay. Great location for access to the beach and local restaurants and centrally located within a short drive to the heart of San Diego. Access to bikes a nice plus for rides along the beach. Unit was clean and comfortable, no complaints.

We were very comfortable at Kim’s place. Everything was so cozy and inviting. Such beautiful Spanish design. Everything was clean and comfortable. Very quiet location. We will be back!!
