Family-friendly holiday rentals in South India

I am English staying with young family.. 6 of us a laf minute booking. Much to appreciate from RUPUL as a Barrister at the Bar in Kandy/Colombo and country’s high Courts . I’m a forever returning visitor. The sitting room so stylish and crammed with not just law material! The breakfast was excellent and very accommodating for taking 2nd one with is to sight see early. Strongly recommend for large families. As place and tranquility yo self. Peaceful only hearing the nature I thank you and your wife Upil and obliging staff)Muhindera(sp) Loose U.K. family Sri Lankan

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt, die Aussicht war traumhaft. In der Unterkunft kommt ab und zu Lassie vorbei und schaut nach dem Rechten, man fühlt sich jederzeit sicher und es sind immer die Hausmeister ansprechbar. insgesamt ist es ein tolles Anwesen mit fürsorglichen Gastgebern + Team! Das Dinner und Frühstück sind empfehlenswert und ich durfte sogar mit dem Kayak auf dem See fahren. Ich habe es sehr genossen und kann die Unterkunft allen empfehlen die die Natur lieben. Ein paar Ameisen & Geckos gehören mit dazu, das war aber kein Problem und hat nicht gestört. Danke für diesen malerischen Ort!

Our stay at the villa was nothing short of exceptional! This 4-bedroom property is the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and convenience, offering everything you could possibly need for a relaxing getaway. The Villa: The villa itself is stunning, with spacious and beautifully decorated bedrooms, each designed for maximum comfort. The open living areas were ideal for spending quality time together, while still providing privacy when needed. The fully equipped kitchen was a dream for anyone who enjoys cooking or wants to prepare their own meals. The Pool: The pool was a highlight of the property! It was well-maintained, with crystal-clear water, and surrounded by a gorgeous patio area perfect for lounging and soaking up the sun. Whether it was a morning swim or an evening dip, it added so much to our experience. Service: The full-time caretaker and property manager were outstanding. The caretaker ensured the villa was spotless and attended to our needs promptly and graciously.

Sanjaya's place is amazing and beautiful. We had clear instructions and were even helpful in assisting with instructions for our driver. The home is on an elevation so although our car couldn't make it, they had a Tuk Tuk ready to take us and our bags. Once we checked in, we were given a tour of the house and were asked for breakfast times for the next day. The breakfast was amazing and a nice touch. The views here are what ultimately make this great as you get to see the city and mountains from the balcony and bathroom. You could also take in the views from the front of the home where you could easily sit and maybe read a book. Check-out was smooth and we will definitely miss this place. This will be my go to place when coming back to Nuwara Eliya!

I stayed there with family. Pratik was an extremely responsive and considerate host, right from the first inquiry. The place is as good as it gets. The description on Airbnb was fairly accurate. It's in a desirable housing complex. The flat is extremely spacious and has all that one needs to stay comfortably with family. Any minor shortcomings were immediately taken care of by the host. There was zero interference from the host and he always checked in if everything was okay. This sort of freedom is essential, esp. when you are staying with your family. Highly recommended.

Our stay at this bungalow was nothing short of amazing! The property is spacious, well-maintained, and offers breathtaking views, making it the perfect escape from the city. The presence of friendly dogs added a warm and homely touch to the experience. Sanjoy, the caretaker, was extremely helpful and ensured we had a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was the bathtub, which made for a relaxing retreat after a long day. Given the amenities, space, and hospitality, this place is an absolute steal for the price. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again. The hosts were friendly, helpful and responsive. Allowed a late check out without any hassle. The garden is lovely and a peaceful spot to hang out in. Really nice.

Well when we as a group of old friends decided to meet for a reunion and were looking for a place to spend an entire day reliving byogone days, we ended up our search at this place just an hour away from city. What a place! That was our reaction as soon as we entered the premises. The structures within the area are tastefully designed and placed giving prominence to the greenery. We were welcomed by Sandeep: our host and gave a brief about what we would be in for. He was warm and suave and we connected instantly. We had the entire property to ourselves and we indulged in playing Futsal in the lawn area, reminiscing and having lots of banters. We were assisted by 2 caretakers who are always present to tend to your needs at any point in time. The food was top notch and we also had some BBQ during night time along with great music and projector in the lounge area. Although we didn't use the swimming pool and thus missing out, it was clean and was designed perfectly with artificial water f

What a lovely stay in the tranquil canals of the backwaters. While different from many other air bnb's we've stayed in (there is no private kitchen, for example), Praveen and his family's upstairs space is a nest of comfort! With two large rooms, each with separate bathroom, and a large common area, it is a half in and half out living space with a beautiful vista over the canal. Papa is an unbelievably generous and skilled cook, who delighted our tastebuds with "Kerela specials" and made our kids favorite requests (coconut pancakes!). He even made us some lemon and mango pickle for the road! Praveen's mother is a sweet kind presence, too. And not enough good words can be said about Praveen as host. Willing and generous with time, his network of connections allowed us to experience and enjoy all that this region has to offer...from kayaking to sunrise boating to errands in Allapy city--Praveen helped with every one of these with grace and humor. Thank you all!!

Had a wonderful experience right from the word go...The host is very cooperative and genuine as she was very flexible with our checking timings. The accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable with all the amenities. We would love to be again there !!!!

R Udupa delivered home cooked food three times a day, including no salt, less spicy options. Lots of restaurants delivering hot food within 30 min. Organic groceries in walkable distance.

This is a genuine review from a truly happy guest. Our experience at Romy’s Farmstays was everything we had hoped for, just as described in the reviews & shown in the photos. The property is beautiful, peaceful, & exactly as advertised. We absolutely loved our stay. Shane was an excellent host — extremely responsive and thoughtful, regularly checking in to ensure everything was perfect & that we were comfortable throughout our visit. The caretakers were humble, kind, & thoroughly professional. They respected our privacy while being attentive to all our needs. The food was outstanding — special thanks to the talented cook who made every meal a delight. One of the highlights was the direct private access to the river, which was exactly as mentioned in the listing. Another bonus — the property is pet-friendly! Our dog had a great time running around the lush green grounds, & we were touched when the staff even gifted him a small toy. Overall, we had a truly wonderful experience at Romy’s.

Staying at Ajay Uncle’s place was a wonderful experience. The homestay was clean, well-organized, and hosted by a responsive and friendly team. It truly felt like a home away from home, with thoughtful design and excellent management. It’s an ideal spot for both friends and family. Sujata Aunty, the cook, prepared delicious Maharashtrian meals that we thoroughly enjoyed. Everyone made us feel so welcome. One of the highlights of the stay was a long, engaging conversation with Ajay Uncle—it’s something you definitely shouldn’t miss. He’s such a fascinating person. Overall, I loved the stay, the people, and the area!

This is a truly exceptional place to stay. The beautiful villa features a spacious pool and serene surroundings. The island itself offers some good exploration opportunities. Bishnu prepares incredible meals with an impressive variety, and Charles is an outstanding host—by far the best we've encountered on Airbnb. He provided us with excellent guidance on the must-visit spots around the island.

Had a great family time with our dogs at the villa. The location is great, with both beaches and popular spots within a 30 min radius. Manoj and his team were prompt and very helpful - they did a brilliant job cleaning up everyday to make us feel right at home

I recently stayed at a this beautiful bungalow in Lonavala with my friends, and it was an amazing experience. The interiors were well-designed and soothing, creating a warm and relaxing ambiance throughout our stay. The swimming pool was well-maintained, making it perfect for both fun and relaxation.
