In the months Jan-April the famous Lofot fishing is ongoing, and you can experience this fishing at Ballstad, which is one of Lofoten's largest and most abundant fishing village.

Stamsund is located in the middle of Lofoten. Leknes is 10-15 minutes away. An hour's drive north is Svolvær, and an hour and a half south is Reine/Moskenes. Short distance to the popular beaches Haukland, Uttakleiv and Unstad.

Stamsund also has grocery stores, a restaurant and a café within walking distance.

My place is good for couples, traveling alone, business travelers and families (with children). There are great hiking trails just outside, and you can catch fish from the dock. It is possible to pay and go out to sea with a big boat, or buy fishingcards for the waters abowe.
