Utstein is a protected cultural environment and has a special national value with the cultural-historical, landscape and agricultural elements that give the area its special character. At Utstein there are animals on the farmland and cultural pasture all year round and limited access to traffic. It is possible to see/participate in the farm operations. There are many hiking opportunities, short distance to Preikestolen and Kjerag.

Magical place at the lake with a 8000 m2 garden and 120 m beach/shoreline. Perfect for relaxing, boating and fishing. At the lake there is a pavillion with a remarkable view where you can enjoy the sunset. A boat and canoe are available for free. It's a very private and quiet location, but still perfectly located in Ryfylke with all its breathtaking hikes nearby. In 2020 the bathroom and hall was totally refurbished, and a fiberoptic cable was installed with a fast wifi-connection.

About 60 meters walk from the cabin there is a beach followed by a nice hiking road along the sea. Close proximity to Stavanger center (5-7 min) by car or boat.

Here is several other hikes in our near by mountains and spectacular nature and viewpoints. The house has good Wi-Fi based on fibre-optic cable. Jørpelandsholmen recreation area. There is a 2 km long trail around the island, play ground for children, swimming spots, Frisbee golf course and toilets.
