Casa do Rio Alva is a very special place with private access to the river! Our country house is located in the village of Secarias in the heart of the nature of central Portugal, 4 km from the village of Arganil and 55 km from the city of Coimbra. Exploring the Alva River from our home is a unique experience, where the following stand out: avocets, bees, kingfishers, crows, swallows, foxes, field mice, frogs, toads and snakes, numerous fish such as bass, bogas and carp, but also trout and eels.

Just 5 minutes from fabulous river beaches, 35 kms from Serra da Estrela and 75 kms from Coimbra, in a small village in Serra do Açor, lies RAIZ, a 1907 house waiting for you to enjoy lovely views and a magnificent sunset from the terrace. Spacious and cosy, AC, a wood burning stove, and a garage with direct access to the house where you will find several bicycles to set off and explore the surroundings. Our authentically renovated, stone village house is located in the quiet and friendly village of Andorinha in Central Portugal. We created a modern space with as much comfort as possible yet keeping the eccentricity of the house. Make sure you take advantage of the wood burning hot tub and enjoy a few hours soaking, while sipping on a nice glass of wine. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: The downstairs large bedroom is accessed externally through the front courtyard NOT from inside the house.
