Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Tarrazu

This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we didn't know what to expect. It's hard to get a full scope of a place with just photographs. From the moment we walked in the door, I knew we picked the right place. Someone else mentioned that the photos don't do this place justice, and they were spot on. It's airy yet cozy, tranquil but enough space to spread out and have a good time. The location was far enough away from Quepos to give it a country feel but still be able to quickly pick something up for dinner. My only criticism is that the kitchen was not as equipped as I like (we had to get creative with the can opener and the knives were pretty dull) but we managed. I highly recommend Villa Vanilla- it's a biodynamic organic farm 10 minutes away if you are interested in spices or chocolate, they also have ice cream and spice tours. The Magic Bus was our favorite food spot near Manuel Antonio. Rancho Tipico don Juan horseback riding tour was THE Highlight of our trip.

We got a really warm welcome from Dennis (the owner), who lives there a few months a year. We didn't get to meet Cindy. He shared all sorts of tips for local activities, restaurants, markets, places to visit, ... He took us to a magnificent waterfall on a private property. We were there alone, in the middle of the tropical rainforest and got to swim in the refreshing waters. This was definitely a highlight of our trip. Dennis is the best host we ever encountered. If we could give him 10 stars, we would! He cooked for us and we had so much fun! Of course he gives you your privacy too. We were free to use whatever was in the house, the food in the fridge, herbs, drinking water, home made juices, etc. Keep in mind that he lives here (when there are no guests), so there's some stuff of him in the house. The house is very beautifully decorated and cosy. No AC, but there are lots of fans to keep you cool and also a refreshing outdoor shower. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking a nice meal, and then some ... The bed in the master bedroom is very good. The one in the other bedroom ok, but that is a personal thing of course. All windows in the house have mesh to keep the bugs out. Very effective! There's hot water in the shower and the kitchen! You get to experience the real Tico lifestyle here, away from the hustle and bustle from the tourist places. It's located in a small town with almost only locals. There are very few amenities in the town itself, but neighbouring villages have whatever you need and Quepos is just 20 minutes away. A little Spanish goes a long way to get what you want. The town is relatively quiet (small town noises) and well situated to explore the surroundings. Dennis is a birder, who puts bananas in the trees of his garden which attracts a lot of birds. You can watch all sorts of stunning birds up close from your comfy chair on the porch. All in all a top place to visit and the warm, welcoming host made this an unforgettable experience.

Beautiful area! Quiet yet also close to small shopping! Horseback riding is worth it. It was beautiful!!!

My friends and I visited Karla's house, from the moment of booking Karla was extremely attentive. She helped us with the concerns we had, the kitchen is beautiful and has everything you need at home. The area is very quiet and there are supermarkets nearby. The house has a lot of space and the beds are comfortable ideal for large groups, there are board games, ranch, grill, everything you need I recommend it 100% and it is definitely a place I would return to.

My husband and 4-year-old son stayed in the Casita 8 nights for our wedding trip…. We have just returned and it is already missing because it was more like being at home . The wonderful place immersed in the jungle but super comfortable to visit everything ... the beautiful, super clean modern house... the pool, the barbecue area, everything was perfect . And then Susan, the owner, who after 8 days is also a friend...dessert available and who made our stay unforgettable ❤️

The apartment is too nice an impressive view, neat with utensils easy to access to maintain cleanliness, super complete the kitchen has all the comforts for the preparation of food and a great variety of utensils and very spacious the living and dining room are fair to share with freedom of space, last and very important don Miguel's attention is very accurate, timely and very cordial, provides clear directions and responds in short waiting times. Without hesitation, I would recommend the price is fair and the place is very nice. One particularity is that in the condo people in general are very respectful and friendly.

Perfect location between Emilio's Cafe and Hotel Mariposa. We walked to every fantastic meal we enjoyed. Loved the pool and the monkeys. Host's assistant Hector was very helpful and responsive. Thank you!!

We stayed here for 3 nights to explore Manuel Antonio and it was absolutely perfect. Marcos and his family were so lovely and made us feel so welcome. The apartment is spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay including cooking facilities. We loved the balcony and hearing / seeing lots of birds while relaxing in the hammock. It’s a great location to drive to the national park and gorgeous surrounding beaches and also walking distance to restaurants / supermarkets in Quepos. Would 100% recommend this place and hope to visit again one day.

A very nice, lovingly equipped, clean apartment. I slept well. Garage and elevator were comfortable. Bryan responded to my requests immediately and very kindly.

Upon immediate arrival we were greeted by a lady and gentleman that were very, friendly, attentive, and professional. They made us comfortable until Yosue showed up a couple of moments later. He escorted us to our condo and showed us the complete unit and all of it's amenities. I received messages each day to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed and or wanted. This including local and area restaurant recommendations and other activities. We came to the area looking for land to build our future home on and long-term rental options so that we could be in the area before and during construction. Yosue put me in contact with a very detail orientated, attentive and professional real estate agent. I travel to Costa Rica every two months and this trip was by far the best yet thanks to the staff and people at this condominium complex. I would highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to have an ultimate vacation experience and feel right at home.

Super comfortable and nice apartment! It's complete, they won't need anything! I highly recommend it and the same as the host, it is always attentive, my family and I were happy!

This place is unbelievable. It is top of the line. The photos don’t actually do it justice. The view from the deck is unbelievable. We saw monkeys, parrots and even a sloth the day we left. You have access to a concierge which we didn’t use at all. The location is great with access to stores and restaurants. The rooms were a bit loud with motorbikes on the street, but very easy to tune out. The apartment itself was always cool with a clean, fully stocked kitchen, beach towels to use as well as the washer and dryer were very nice. This place is pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. Loved every bit of it.
