Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho, blessed with forests, lakes and snow in northern Nagano Prefecture. Nearby, there are many natural sightseeing spots such as Kurohime Highlands, Lake Nojiri, and Togakushi. A building from the development era, it has been stylishly renovated using plenty of natural materials such as pure cedar, hinoki cypress, and plaster. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. "Yoko's Inn Wakuwaku" is a "separate" inn adjacent to the creative home cooking restaurant "Wakuwaku", limited to one group per day. There is a private entrance. Medieval Haiku poet, Basho Matsuo likened eternal passage of time to "百代の過客", a permanent traveller. In his time, a hundred years was expressed as eternal. HAKU was originally built as a farmer’s shed about a hundred years ago. It was recently relocated and renovated for another hundred years. HAKU will welcome you as traveling companions.
