A small but special little place tucked neatly between rolling hills. Kawakawa Hut provides a simple but comfy getaway for two in a beautiful countryside. Location!!Location!!Location!! Our house has extensive, close stunning lake views,only 8 minutes (7 kms) drive into Taupo town. A car is necessary as we’re NOT in town!Clean, comfortable, private, peaceful 3 bedroom house surrounded by trees & bush and not in busy suburbia. Sleeps 4 unless a request for 5 is made which involves an extra charge. Just across the road from the lake and 2 Bays. New ensuite bathroom and heat pump/air conditioner and new 55” Sony TV. We’ve had many return guests.

Lovely alpine style chalet close to lake and town.

We love this beautiful little self contained alpine chalet style house we have created on our property. Only 15 minutes walk (or less than five minutes drive) to either the lake front or the town centre, it is perfectly situated for a break in Taupo. With a double bed , bunk beds, sofa bed, beautiful kitchenette, wood burning stove, coffee machine, large TV, lounge area, dining area and off street parking, this newly refurbished property has everything you need for a cosy and comfortable stay.

A rare “John Scott” an architectural dream

We would love to welcome you to our unique John Scott home/apartment (with radiators!). The New Zealand Architect, John Scott, was an eccentric chap and was renowned for designing unique buildings. Our home doesn’t disappoint and we are excited to share it with the air bnb community. A self contained wing of our home is located in a tranquil spot. A five minute drive or a stroll along the lakefront will get you into town. We are a few minutes walk from the Botanical Gardens and the lakefront.

Newly decorated, studio unit, situated close to Taupo town, walking distance to shops & restaurants. Fully fenced, with off street parking. A lockable space for 2 pushbikes. Private & self-contained, our studio is cozy when you want to stay in, and easy to come back to when you've been out sightseeing or at the Lake or hot pools. Tui Cottage is a cosy and private haven, with queen-sized bed & bathroom, totally separate from the main house. Tui bird song greets the day. You may be visited by Punkie, my tortoise shell quirky-tailed cat. Glimpse lake views between the trees. Kowhai Retreat

We are a working professional couple who have lived in Taupo for 30 years. We have both been vaccinated for the Covid pandemic. We would like to wish a warm welcome to singles or couples. We do not accommodate infants, children or animals. We are a hop, skip and a jump from the stunning Taupo lake front and easy 25 minute stroll in to town, 3 minutes by car. Happy to host short or longer stays. Super convenient location for our Taupo events!
