We booked this property to celebrate my mums 60th birthday and to say it was perfect is an understatement. We had a lovely long weekend in the hot tub with lots of BBQ’s. We also had 2 dogs and we felt so at ease that they were running around in the secure field. Will definitely be rebooking! Thanks Lucy & Co

As a family of foodies and in particular loving shellfish West mersea and the cottage were absolutely perfect for us. Our two teenagers loved the hot tub and we thoroughly enjoyed cooking good food in the small but perfectly formed kitchen and sitting in the sunshine in a very pretty deck watching the world go by. three nights was a treat, But perhaps a few extra just to make sure we could try all of the wonderful food offerings West Mersey provides . Thanks Roland for being a great host - we loved the cottage and would love to return.

The most beautiful place ever !! Hayley replied within minutes via message when I messaged her. I wish I could have stayed longer! The outside bath and the lights were my personal favourite! Every little detail such as board games and books just made it that extra special! Would highly recommend

Quite simply, a beautiful country cottage. If you're looking for a quiet country getaway, with lots of outdoor activities on your doorstep, then look no further! We hired the cottage on a bit of a short-notice whim only a few weeks before Easter. It's a beautifully converted little building, perfect for a couples getaway. The hosts are fantastic communicators, very proactive and my partner and I were impressed with the little touches inside which made us feel right at home. Very easy to reach by car from Ipswich or Felixstowe and so many things to see and do in the immediate area. It's perfect to use as a base for walking. I loved the little suntrap garden, was so nice to sit and have my morning coffee surrounded by birdsong. The cottage itself is very cosy with all modern appliances you might need. Definitely recommend!

Amanda and Simon were warm and engaging hosts. If you love nature and enjoy outdoor activities the location of the stables in the surrounding countryside is perfect. There is such a variety of places to visit and local areas to explore that four days was not quite enough for us. So I'm looking forward to a return stay here soon. Michael

Been to Sues place more than once. Although remote it has a lovely butchers and a good pub with excellent food three miles away. The cretingham bell. Cottage is very comfortable with great amenities. And sooooo relaxing. Will be going back . Also within half an hour of many attractions. Thanks sue for another lovely stay and cake/wine. Nice touch.

We stayed in Buttercup cottage as a family of three, with our 5 month old son. It was very tastefully decorated, and was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was spotless. We loved the cosy feel of the cottage, as well as being able to walk out the back garden into surrounding fields and the gorgeous countryside. The Crown in Hartest is a lovely pub, with fantastic food and very kind staff. Overall, a wonderful stay, thank-you Dan and Rachel!

Letheringham Mill is an incredibly beautiful place, and the cottage I stayed in was out of this world. The grounds are stunning, so obvious Jacqui is a keen gardener, yet incredibly dog friendly. Inside is as wonderful as outside, and there is a wonderful eye for detail, and the cottage is so well equipped. I'm trying to be a tad careful as to the help Jacqui actually gave me, as I don't want future guests to expect the same and leave her in an awkward position.... she was a phenomenal host!

Watt cottage is a beautiful little cottage which makes you feel at home. The cottage was well equipped with all the essentials needed. Samantha communicated with me when needed and responded quickly. I would definitely recommend staying at Watt cottage. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Our 2nd stay at Hannah's. Great place with plenty to do locally. Hannah is a great host and easy to communicate with. We will be back!

We loved the cottage - it was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. It was very quiet and yet in a great location in town. The beds were extremely comfortable with high quality bedding. We were very happy with the beautiful garden which seemed to have the sun all day. We loved Woodbridge and enjoyed both the town and the gorgeous walks from it. Thank you - we had a wonderful stay.

Our stay at Cissy’s Cottage was everything we could have wanted and more. The place itself was so lovely, comfortable and felt like a true countryside escape. We loved every second. There are tons of stunning local walks around the area as well as a lovely, delicious farm shop just down the road. Our hosts Bev and Martin were kind, thoughtful and very helpful with local recommendations. I could not recommend this stay enough for those wanting to feel comfortable and at peace in the countryside.

Adam welcomed us on arrival and was friendly and accommodating. When we needed to contact them about a couple of minor things, they were responded very quickly and dealt with any small issues immediately. Very friendly and provided local information. Accommodation was as expected, presented well - a 400 year old cottage with quirky, rustic and therefore in keeping decoration. Well appointed and plenty of kitchen accessories for cooking in if that's what you want to do. A lovely welcome pack provided :-) Nice pub over the road, beautiful walks to local villages with other great places to eat, a good location for a relaxing and walking and admiring the local scenery.. Area popular with bird watchers it seems (being right on the estuary...) Some road noise outside as the cottage is right on the road, but you soon get used to this if you're not already.

This place is absolutely perfect for families. Paul and Jane are such lovely hosts making you feel so welcome before you've even got there. The cottage is cosy with a great size and well stocked kitchen. The play area next to the cottage was great with a play barn as well with loads of books and toys to choose from. The outdoor bath was perfect with such a beautiful view over the landscape. Paul and Jane have thought of everything to make the stay as brilliant as it can be. Honesty bar and freshly made pizza in the pizza oven if you're lucky. So much in the area to do as well, will definitely be coming back.

Really enjoyed our stay in Burnham on Crouch and this property is very well located to explore the area. Quirky, tastefully decorated and well furnished. Lovely, well designed garden allows you to take in the sun all through the day. Local convenience store is very close by and Burnham has many great pubs, restaurants and coffee shops. All of which are pretty much a stones throw away. Parking was a little tricky as we had to use the free public car park but once we found the little alley at the end of the terrace the car park is actually only 1min away. Really enjoyed our stay.

A wonderful stay in a lovely cottage. would love to stay again.
