Wow! I booked for a week but added a second week. That says it all. Ramesh is an amazing host: very friendly, speaks good English, non-intrusive but always ready to help with anything you need. The home-made food is delicious. The kitchen has everything you need so you can also make your own food. On clear days, the views of the snowcapped Himalaya are mind-boggling. It's a walk to get there but once you do, you do not want to leave. It's a little outside Almora which adds to the peaceful atmosphere. I cannot recommend it enough and will definitely come back.

I came here as solo ... didn't expect so much.. seriously it's amazing place ...i would say wow is less than that...surrounding is pristine,pure nature....Such a BLISS Perfect place to unwind & Soak yourself in nature What more one can ask for River ,waterfall ,nature ... All at one place !!!! Should be on every body list 👍👍

Bessies cottage is a wonderful place in Peora. Located in a very peaceful surrounding with a driveway, it has three bedrooms two on the groudfloor and one on the top floor adjoining the terrace. The place is very clean with amenities like heater, kettle, geyser, washing machine and fridge required for a great stay. The lawn adjoining the house is very pretty with beautiful flowers and sitting area. On a clear day there is a great view of the snow clad range from the lawn and the terrace. The highlight of the stay was the personal attention by Kamal bhaiya the caretaker who not only cooked delicious meals as per our taste but also pampered to every need. Extremely polite he takes care of all guests like his own family. We had a wonderful time and would love to visit again.

This beautiful pretty cottage is so amazing that It will not let you miss the urban life and lifestyle. Amita has invested lots of patience and money which is easily visible in the house. The helper "Naveen bhaiya" has been a great addition to make this property feel like home. you see himalayan range just like that 😍 I recommend this stay.

A great place. Just what we wanted. The cottage - is not very old. Yet it is built in local fashion with local materials but with all modern 'living amenities' as listed. In keeping with the mountain terrain it is built at 'levels. 'Full of knick knacks, a fire place & so on.... All this gives it a very cosy , yet rustic feel, very authentic & lovable. The cottage does not have a 'living room', but that is compensated by the large verandah overlooking the property. Grand views all day. the owners were present in their other house on the property. Very friendly yet not intrusive. One does not expect such help full caretakers in a airbnb. The caretaker cum househelp cum handyman Mr. Bobby Singh who is on hand 24/7 is a gem. he cleans, cooks, advises(if asked). Plus there is Mr. Anand Singh who takes care of the 'grounds' of the property, who helps in procuring groceries & stuff. Two people to help !!! Almost like a serviced resort .
