“What a lovely house! Ideally situated in a beautiful village with lots to do locally . Good local reliable bus service to some very nice places like Bakewell and Buxton . I think Mel’s house was the warmest , cosiest house we have ever stayed in ! Everything was spotlessly clean . We appreciated all the extras like tea, coffee , milk , biscuits , chocolates , etc etc etc .. Mel communicated with us very well and was the perfect host . Thanks Mel 😊”
Weavers Cottage is a traditional 3 bed stone cottage, a short walk from the shops, pubs and cafes of Tideswell. The cottage has recently undergone a thorough renovation and we hope your stay here will be extremely comfortable. There are two double rooms and one twin. Two of the bedrooms benefit from Jack n Jill style bathroom with shower & wc, downstairs there is a large family bathroom with both bath & shower. Downstairs you have an open plan kitchen/lounge/dining area with seating for six.
“We loved our stay here. The weather was rubbish but the cozy fire made the evenings enjoyable all the same. The fire is gas which turned out to be better than wood in terms of convenience if popping in and out. Would definitely stay here again.”
Situated on the outskirts of the village of Tideswell, with outstanding views . There are excellent cafes and pubs in the village, plus a Co-op, butchers, greengrocers, chemists and Post Office. Just 5 minutes from the Pennine Bridleway plus numerous excellent walk/cycle hire routes including the Monsal Trail SK17 8SN. Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Blue John and Treakcliffe mines are all with 20 minutes drive. Buxton Opera house is again only 15 minutes drive.
“Had a really lovely stay here! The cookies and wine were a delicious and thoughtful touch. The eggs and milk left in the fridge helped considerably when the storm hit as well. We were located in wonderful countryside with the village a short walk away. Further attractions were so close to drive to, and we weren't short of things to do! The accommodation itself is very cosy and warm, fitted with mod cons. The ned was super comfy and the shower was powerful. Thank you for a wonderful stay, would recommend to anyone :)”
