I heard that it was built in the late Edo period and that it was a temple school in the early Meiji period. I liked the presence of the house itself, the village, and the location, including the large black pillars, and moved there, and since then, I have been constantly renovating it myself. We use old materials to preserve the historical texture as much as possible. The floorboards are reused chestnut wood and rice shelf boards laid under the tatami mats. The paving stones from the garden are reused in the Goemon bath, and the storehouse door used at the Nagaya gate is reused in the entrance. In the summer, you can spend time in a cool old house without air conditioning. On the other hand, in winter, I think it feels very cold because of the drafts, but one of the things I would like you to experience is the ingenuity of living to stay a little warm, such as the self-built ondol (floor heating) and the Goemon bath. Kominka Amamane is an inn where you can experience living in a traditional house. Enjoy a rare moment of relaxation in a quiet mountain village away from the daily grind.

You can rent the whole place at a shelter cat cafe. All spaces are available for private hire outside of cafe hours. Cat space is completely separate. Cats are not allowed in the cafe or accommodation. You can interact with cats in the courtyard. You can eat and drink while looking at the cat courtyard from the cafe. You can also stay with your dog. Please bring what you need for your dog. However, pets are not allowed in the courtyard. You can come and go freely in the later space.
