Located outside a small, quiet hamlet (altitude 800 metres) at the end of a winding road, the south-facing barn enjoys panoramic views of the mountains, and is surrounded by fields and woods - with no vis-à-vis! Entirely renovated using ecological materials, the gîte retains all the charm and authenticity of a Pyrenean dwelling, but with all the comfort of a purpose-built gite. The barn caters to everybody – couples, solos, families with children, and walkers with their four-legged friends.

Gîte Rando Altitude (1100 m) - wifi

Welcome to Le Playras, a Shangri-la in the Pyrenees, a secret nest formed by a group of traditional and authentic mountain shepherd huts sitting at 1.100m altitude! A paradise for mountain hikers and nature lovers. The trail around the Biros valley (tour du Biros) passes in front of the door. You can hike right away from home and get on foot onto a network of trails connecting to the GR.10 and the Spanish border. Jump in cold waterfalls and streams or go for mushroom or blueberry picking.

Beautiful gite/retreat situated at 800m in an old stone grange renovated with natural materials. The gite is nestled between pastures and woods with an incredible view of the Pyrenees mountains. Final access (75m) is on foot to maintain the tranquillity of the location. Immerse yourself in nature, escape the pollution of the city...come and relax! Your hosts Lee and Susie offer a 90 minute vinyasa yoga class or a 5 day introduction to handweaving - design and weave your own fabric item.

La Pauzette gîte with views of the Ariège Pyrenees

Relaxation guaranteed in this cosy and spacious accommodation located at an altitude of 900 m with a breathtaking view of the Valier mountain. The green setting will seduce you... The accommodation is fully equipped and has a private terrace. It is attached to our house but the entrance is independent. On site, there is a Nordic bath and a sauna which can be booked on the day of arrival or in advance of course but it is an additional service not included in the rental price.

Residence with elevator, with private ski lockers on the ground floor, it is located in the center of all amenities, the ski slopes are 30 meters away, the ESF is 20 meters away, ski rental at the bottom of the residence. The thermal baths of Aulus-les-Bains are 15 minutes away.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to contact me before making or confirming a reservation. Regarding access, the house is at the end of a 7 km track. The first 5 km are suitable for vehicles, and the last 2 km are not suitable for vehicles. So you'll have to walk the last 2 km, about 40 minutes. Guests can park their car safely in a clearing.
