Beautiful renovation which combines modern comfort with the spelendor of this 17th century stone tower house in the Medieval village of Alet les Bains. Beautiful garden. White water rafting and other river sports are within walking distance as well as a natural spring swimming pool which is open in the summer. There are a number of good restaurants within walking distance too and the famous wine producing town of Limoux is a 10 minute drive away. There is a tourist office in the town.

Atypical house located in the countryside between woods and scrubland. South facing with beautiful sunshine , beautiful views , silence , and starry skies. All the conditions for relaxing in peace. It is only 1.5 km from the village (market.restaurant). Very good wifi connection. You can immediately set off on the many hiking trails. In the surrounding area, there are 3 lakes for swimming, as well as the gorges. of the Aude (canoe kayak raft). Bars, restaurants, supermarket 8 km away.

Salamander Chalet

Enjoy the peace, the view and the comfort of this stylish chalet. Very suitable as a romantic getaway or relaxing in nature with your family. We are at 650 meters altitude, in a hot summer it is always a little cooler than in the valley and with a breeze, very pleasant. At night, the lake cools down and it's a good night's sleep. We don't need air conditioning. Dogs are welcome, €15 per stay. There is a wood-burning stove for the winter. We provide a wheelbarrow with firewood for €15.

To make the most of your stay, here is a list of must-see places to visit near the gîte: Rennes le Château, Rennes les Bains, Pic de Bugarach, Vulture Observatory, Gorges de Galamus, the medieval city of Carcassonne. 1h30 from the beaches and 3/4h from the ski slopes in the Pyrenees. Lakes and swimming in the villages of Puivert and Quillan. Hiking and cycling enthusiasts, lots of marked trails.

The Bergnes rural gîte is located in the heart of a livestock farm in the Upper Aude Valley. The natural environment, Mediterranean type, welcomes cicadas during the hot periods of summer in the very large maritime pines that surround the house and the cottage The Aude River is 1.5 km from the cottage and offers many fishing routes You will also be kindly greeted by our dogs, cats, chickens, horses, donkey and of course, the herd of suckler cows
