“I love Kirk’s place! The unit was beautifully decorated and super clean. Truly a gem in the city of Vista. Thank you so much for the hospitality I will be staying again very soon!”

“Like a nice Hotel/Resort that feels like home. This has to be one of my favorite places that I've ever stayed at. It starts with the relaxing drive through the quiet neighborhoods to get there. When the gate swings open you are driving up a small driveway surrounded by all kinds of plants and palm trees - it feels like you are in your own private villa. There is a large patio right outside with plenty of space to park your car, we parked ours right next to the entrance. There are places to sit right outside of the entrance near a a beautiful garden. In the morning you can hear the birds chirping in the trees around you and walking into the garden there were bees doing what they do going plant to plant - outside of the garden it looks like you are up on a hill and you can see out pretty far to another hillside, they provide binoculars. At night it is extremely quiet and you can see stars all over, I think I heard some frogs in the distance. All of this and you are a short drive away from Target/Sprouts/Carlsbad/Oceanside The place was spotless and had all the essentials. The shower is amazing with literally a triangle of about 10 different body washes/shampoos/conditioners - not the cheap kind. The bed was comfortable and there was a little study area with a pull-out bed and desk. The room is next to the main house, we could tell someone was home because there were cars and lights but you would not know otherwise - completely private. There is even an outside alleyway kind of thing with a washer and dryer separating the places - seriously, completely private. We were able to watch TV from the bed and the electric fireplace was able to warm up the room quickly. We got a message after our first night to make sure everything was going well and the host was very quick to respond to all of my questions. I was blown away at this place, for sure will be looking to stay here again in the future!”
This serene and relaxing place is close to all the best that north county has to offer. We're just a few minutes from downtown Vista, the world famous Moonlight Amphitheater, as well as Rancho Buena Vista Adobe, Mother Earth Brewing Company, The Yellow Deli, Belching Beaver Brewery, and a host of other Vista area favorites. Your Hosts, Matt and Ruben have been together for over 25 years and are here to ensure your stay is as great as being at home, but with the feel of being on vacation.
“When we arrived at Matt and Ruben’s home we were immediately greeted by Matt who showed us the room before sitting on the veranda for a wonderful chat and a terrific view looking West to the ocean in the distance. The room was extremely comfortable and spacious. The large TV monitor was easy to use, not always a guarantee. They have Direct TV with lots of movie channels. The room was nicely furnished and appointed. The bed was super and the linens on the bed were top notch, as we as the towels et al in the bathroom. We are already planning a return visit to Vista in a couple of weeks. They are on a hill about a mile from the main part of town, only a five minute drive from some cool restaurants and brew pubs. You won’t be disappointed and it was a good value.”
