This is a terrific location in a nice area of the city center, right along a pretty canal. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The central train station is a 10 minute walk. The apartment has a relatively large living space with a bedroom area and convertible sofa. There was plenty of dishware and utensils for dining at “home”. There was also a washing machine but no dryer, so we did not use the washer but it was available with clothes pins etc. for hang drying. The bathroom had a clean shower with nice hot water and plenty of supplies like soap, shampoo and conditioner. Douwe was extremely responsive to our needs. We arrived early but he generously allowed us to check in while he finished cleaning the bathroom. He made us feel that he’d be available if we needed anything. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Amsterdam.

A top accommodation, a whole experience

This was a beautiful place. It was much better than I imagined. It is the first Ike staying at a boat house and I don’t think we could have got a better experience. Both Rob and Karin were very responsive and took care of our needs immediately. The bedroom above is very spacious. Only thing to note is that the bathroom is only downstairs. It worked out fine for us. I highly recommend this place for a stay for max 3 people.

It was an incredible stay, dead center between Amsterdam Centraal and Amsterdam Zuid stations. 5ish minute walk from Tram and Metro, beautiful canal views, and the restaurant Red next door is incredibly good. Can’t recommend it enough.

We had a wonderful weekend. Casper's boat is a great place to stay - an excellent location for bars, restaurants, museums and galleries - everything you'd like to see or do in Amsterdam. Casper is also an excellent host, very responsive and full of tips. I'd happily recommend him and his boat to anyone!

This is lovely family home in lovely Dutch country village, Broek in Waterland, just a short drive or bus connection from Amsterdam. The house was under partial renovation (which the owners warned me for) when I was there for ten days this summer, but the fully-equipped kitchen, the spacious living room, and the amazing view from the garden on water and fields really made the stay very enjoyable. My friends loved the art, the books and general vibe of the house. Maartje and Maarten were excellent and very relaxed hosts who showed me around the house before they left on vacation. Oh and private parking is also a plus. Highly recommended.

The time in the quiet space was a wonderful contrast to lively Amsterdam. Our feet and bodies tired of sightseeing enjoyed the great hot tub. Fantastic how easy Monickendamm can be reached by public transport!

The house is an absolute dream! Beautifully located in the countryside, super cozy and furnished with a lot of love for detail – really cute. I could have moved in right away! Especially the modern bathroom with the great bathtub is a highlight. Practical things like the washing machine are also stylish and unobtrusively integrated. All in all, an all-round beautiful home away from home. We will definitely be back! 🥰

Fantastic location. Quiet and peaceful but very well connected to the city by the excellent local bus services. The summer house was cozy and the garden/surroundings were beautiful. Would also recommend the pancake restaurant round the corner.

INCREDIBLE PLACE. We felt like we landed in heaven when we arrived at Mirjam’s place. Broek in Waterland is absolutely adorable, a very cute pizzeria next door and a shop two minutes away with all the basics. Mirjam was on hand with any questions and incredibly helpful during our stay. Their house is absolutely stunning, one of the nicest I have ever stayed in. Bike hire in the village over the bridge is great and very reasonably priced and I think getting bikes is definitely a good idea. There is a boat hire place a 20 min bike ride away which is lovely ( great coffee). Highly recommend

Helena is a great and hospitable host and she made us feel welcome right away. The location is hard to beat, with tons to do in the immediate area and all of the major areas of the city reachable within a 30 minute walk.

Me and my girlfriend spent a weekend in Amsterdam and we really enjoyed our stay in Alies appartment. The appartment was cozy designed and the neighbourhood was quiet but with many restaurants and bars to visit. The hosts were helpful and the check-in went smoothly. 5/5!

We can highly recommend Ingrid’s apartment in Amsterdam North. Ingrid was very friendly and personable. She sent clear instructions prior to our visit on how to find the apartment. We took the metro from Amsterdam Central station and then walked to the apartment which took about 20 mins. The apartment itself is very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and in a quiet residential area, though there are quite a few passers by and cyclists but this was not a problem at all. One feature is Ingrid provides the use of two bicycles which are brilliant, it meant we could cycle into central Amsterdam via the free ferry in about 15 mins. Ingrid also provided recommendations for local restaurants/cafes which was helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation returning.

Such a great weekend in Amsterdam in this spacious apartment, very well located on the banks of the canals.

We had a great stay at Joze’s Amsterdam apartment!! Great communication with the owners, a lovely natural light apartment with balcony and easy transportation options ( 2 tram lines within a 6 minute walk). Joze makes it very clear about the steep canal house stairs. The two flights are steep but there are lights and railings which I appreciated as I’m in my 70’s. We loved our stay in this peaceful neighborhood.

Where to begin? The location is devine, it is on the fourth canal so it’s still touristy but feels like a more local experience. It is right across from this gorgeous church and the bells sound lovely. I actually feel like this Airbnb is underrated. Could I give it 6 stars? The pictures of the Airbnb don’t have a good photo of the back courtyard, but it had lovely birds chirping and parrots as well as purple, orange, and red flowers. One night my mom and I had a dinner out there and it was splendid. The location is also almost right across from the Anne Frank Hous and I can’t believe the reviews don’t reflect that because it was so convenient getting to. I’m also an avid runner and the area, although full of pedestrians and bikers, was the perfect runners paradise. There was so much to see and it made me feel like I got to know the city more intimately. The host was also so nice when we first arrived and told us about all the amazing things Amsterdam has to offer!

We had a fantastic stay at this flat! It looked exactly as shown in the photos—clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect, just a short 5-minute walk from our daughter’s place, which made everything super convenient. Access from the street was straightforward, and the lift to the 3rd floor made getting in and out with luggage easy. Communication with the host was seamless and quick, which we really appreciated. We felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. Highly recommend this flat, and we’ll definitely be back!
