Space is located in one of the greatest beaches in the world for turtle nesting. There are 5 different species of turtles migrating to this beach each year for nesting. This is the only beach in Sri Lanka where you can see turtles laying eggs. And these tours are done by professional from home town who runs a project to save turtles and which benefits the local community. We also have a beautiful and peaceful beach full of seashells and rocks where you can have a dreamy sunset.
“I had a wonderful time at Sumudu's place. I was looking for a quiet place in nature at the beach and this is exactly what it is. It is very simple but beautiful. You see peacocks (!), large lizards and small monkeys in the garden and its surroundings. It was incredible to see the stars and the fireflies in the bushes that looked as if shooting stars were falling into Sumudu's garden. Sumudu and his business partner, the cook did everything to make my stay as comfortable as possible. They organized a yoga math for me and brought me to an Ayurveda treatment nearby. As a single female traveler, I always felt safe and relaxed at Sumudu's place. I wanted to try the local traditional curd with palm honey (highly recommend) which was not on the menu and they bought it for me, so I can try it. I had a wonderful time and highly recommend this small paradise.”
Ashram Sri Lanka is not a Hotel or Guest House stay at night / this is a place to find liberation for your life Ashram Sri Lanka is a Eco resort which will take you back in time and make you realize yourself what simplicity really means(its in mental and marital broth ways). We believe there is very few places in the plant earth you can get to know what you gonna get to know from this Ashram, (Note-We found Air B&B is the best way to avoid people no-show.)
“The ashram is a quiet home in the Sri Lankan jungle. It is for self reflection and enjoying the simple things in life. Like nourishing food, meditation, reading and walks. Saw so many amazing birds and wildlife whilst there. I really enjoyed my simple room with an outdoor shower. There is no guided yoga or meditation, if that is what youre looking for. Instead , you can practice this yourself which might actually make it easier for you to bring it to your everyday life with self disipline. It taught me to find that again. 😊”

“Martin’s place is pitch perfect, well designed and the superlatives praising the villa and its staff have already been used up in previous reviews. I can’t better them. It’s great. I was travelling alone after a week working in the steel and glass jungle that is Dubai. Lake villa and the environs was just what my nature-starved soul was crying out for: the natural world in its bounty everywhere, a pair of ever present white-throated kingfishers, red wattled lapwings (at least 14 other species viewable with binoculars), fireflies and my favourite bit, watching the huge fruit bats cross the lake at dusk, heading to their feeding grounds. Even the froglets huddling by the pool will slow you down and align you closer to the rhythm of nature. Turn all the lights off from about 1830 and use lanterns and candles... Total peace and tranquillity for one, utterly romantic for two... will just have to come back with my significant other. Tip: binoculars are essential for the park - yes, I know, the elephants.... but the birds are going to be your next source of interest, so pack them. I saw too many bored occupants of jeeps, clearly expecting Kruger or Umfolozi levels of animal encounter.. Fish eagles, owls, bee-eaters...plenty to see if you’re prepared”
