“What first appears to be a typical Tasmanian house opens out to a huge, hexagonal, timber and glass living area. This then extends to an expansive wrap-around deck which was even more wonderful for evening drinks, watching a brilliant sunset colour the waters of the harbour. The beautiful garden, the water views, watching the Gordon River ferry leave in the mornings - this is a house that gives you special memories to carry home with you.”

“We had a wonderful stay. The home was so cosy we felt like we had stepped back in time and we’re staying at grandmas house (but with all the 21st century mod-cons like fantastic hot water shower and very comfortable beds). Our hosts were very kind giving us the addition of fresh eggs, milk and bread on top of all the other breakfast essentials. If we are lucky enough to visit the West Coast area again we would try to stay here.”
The Regatta Point Holiday Home is situated in a quiet location, walking distance to the Abt Railway Station and Regatta Point Tavern. “This property is in a beautiful setting amongst a well maintained garden. It is very close to the tavern at the foot of the hill which overlooks the waterfront. We also enjoyed the scenic walk into Strahan where we took a river cruise , watched the play “ the ship that never was” and ate at the Bushmans. All highly recommended. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean with lovely views of the gardens. We all slept really well in the peace and quiet and would definitely come back again. Vicki also gave us a complimentary bottle of wine to welcome us which was appreciated. Thank you.”
