Afulu is an absolute hidden gem 💎! Afulu villas are perfectly positioned, right on the beach and in front of the paddle out channel for the main point break left. The wave itself is challenging in all the right ways! Hollow, powerful and fast. For those wanting a laid back surf experience or learning, there is a number of great peaks straight in front. The accomodation is better than the pictures, so well laid out and has everything you need. The pool area is fantastic and everything is super private. Can’t wait to come back :)!!

We had the most amazing stay. The family are so kind and helped us book a boat to telo island and anything else we needed. The bungalows are even nicer than the pictures and the linen is so fresh and clean, you’ll be sure to have an extremely comfortable nights sleep. The location is amazing, you can watch the surf from the sun loungers and enjoy dinner while watching the sunset. We ended up staying here twice during our time in nias as we loved it so much. Highly recommend, quality and luxurious stay.

We stayed 2 adults and 3 young children for 3 weeks and I must wholeheartedly thank mama Silvi that we have felt quiet, safe, integrated, cared for and respected like nowhere else we have been. A hardworking woman, honored, fair, fighting for her community. Exceptionally respected by everyone who knows her. A person who has left us a deep imprint and an example for our children and for us. In Ina Silvi Cottage there is nothing and nothing else is needed. Luxury is the place, the authenticity of being part of the local community, the human quality of the inhabitants of this paradise that she keeps, serene, so impeccably. The world needs a lot more mama Silvi.

My stay here was filled with pleasant surprises. The owner was an exceptional host. This airbnb is also a sanctuary for sea turtles! It was such a nice surprise. I got to participate in an event where the turtles were released back into the ocean. It was an experience that I will never forget. The rooms and bathrooms were both very clean and well maintained. There is a common kitchen that I made use of on occasion and places to eat near by. This host speaks great english and was not only attentive but also generous on many fronts and very accommodating. I will definitely be staying here again in the future and look forward to seeing the turtles again!!
