Large Family Home Private Garden Beach 2 mins Walk

AlexandrosRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had a comfortable stay in this beautiful house for two weeks. We loved how close it is to the beach and the sea view from the bedrooms. Very easy to walk around and there is a variety of shops within walking distance. The sofas and beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Our cat also enjoyed the place and her little walks in the garden. It was generally very quiet, other than the neighbour's dogs clockwork barking sessions at 11pm & 7am. Our only comment was that the house was freezing when we arrived and it took many hours to heat up, causing one of us a nasty headache the next day. It would be nice if the heating was turned on a bit earlier. Once it was warm, it did maintain the heat quite well. Other than that everything was great and would visit again, especially when the weather gets better!

Luxury 3 bedroom caravan at ‘Seal Bay Resort’.

WendyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a really great stay in Louisa’s place - it is well equipped and comfortable. The park is fantastic and offers plenty to do for teenagers. Proximity to the beach was a big plus too and the sunsets were amazing! We hired bikes - a great way to get around and there are some lovely routes to follow. Apart from a couple of minor issues - accessing the keys safe and getting through the barrier with the car - our check in and stay were smooth, easy and fantastic! We’d love to come again!

Detached Seaside Bungalow in Quiet Cul De Sac

LorettaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
James was good at communicating, and left clear instructions for everything. He also met us on arrival. The bungalow was as per the description and photos (please note that bed 3-twin room has drawer clothes storage but no hanging space). It's clean, light and airy. The bungalow was in a quiet location and yet close to amenities and a short walk to the beach. We had 3 cars between us and were easily able to fit them on the driveway. We would happily return!" I can't think of anything else that any potential guest would need to know above the information on Airbnb and reviews already left.

Memories Made Holiday Caravan, Seal Bay Resort

LucyRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Very quiet location, we were fortunate enough to have no neighbourhood noise during our stay. Van was clean and tidy, comfortable bed and sofa, good linens. There is patio furniture which was great as it's not mentioned or shown in pics. Nice park with relatively short walks to amenities. Be aware if you have small children or dog take the free buses to and from the west sands park as access is via a narrow country road and quiet harrowing as it's constantly busy with cars going both ways. Well behaved Dogs allowed on the bus. Good WiFi in van which was a bonus, good enough for streaming TV. Great stay.

Sea Plum Lodge

PaulinaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The lodge is a charming and well-kept little place tucked away in the back garden. It looks and feels brand new, and everything was spotlessly clean. Having access to the garden was a big plus for the kids, and the location in Ryde is great—on a quiet street but still convenient. The only minor drawback was that the dining table needs to be unfolded for meals, which makes the living area feel quite cramped. Other than that, we had a lovely stay, and Rebecca was very responsive and helpful throughout.

Your guide to West Wittering

All About West Wittering

Located on the Manhood Peninsula near the entrance of Chichester Harbour in the English Channel, West Wittering is a small village famous for its immaculate golden-sand beaches and shallow waters, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. The atmosphere is decidedly posh, due to the number of celebrities who call the area home. And it’s easy to see why: West Wittering is a postcard-perfect West Sussex town, sandwiched between the South Downs and the glittering sea, with glimpses of the Isle of Wight.

Nearby, you’ll find Chichester Harbour, a narrow inlet with long tentacles reaching into farmland and mudflats. The harbour provides a scenic backdrop for the tiny villages nestled along the shoreline where you can still find Roman remnants from 2,000 years ago. To its north, Thorney Island is a retreat for some of the country’s nesting bird species and a lovely coastal walking trail connecting to the Sussex Border Path.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in West Wittering

Thanks to Southern England’s relatively mild climate and a plethora of things to do, there is no bad time to secure your West Wittering holiday lets. The summer months generally have the hottest, sunniest weather, which is great if you plan to spend a lot of time at the beach. However, this time can get quite busy, especially during the weekends, due to West Wittering’s proximity to London. The month-long Festival of Chichester takes place during this time, from mid-June to mid-July, and celebrates music and art. Spring and autumn are good times to visit, as the weather is still warm enough to wander along the beach and the crowds have thinned. Winter can get a bit cold, which gives you plenty of time to explore the neighbouring city of Chichester while still admiring the beauty of the coast.

Top things to do in West Wittering

West Wittering Beach

This sweeping stretch of golden sand lined with brightly painted beach huts, grassy sand dunes, and chilly water beckons with its gently caressing waves. The beach is popular for swimming thanks to its shallow water that is safe for all ages. From the beach, you get wonderful views of Chichester Harbour and the South Downs.

Chichester Harbour

This gorgeous harbour and its surroundings are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and one of the few untouched coastal spots in Southern England. The harbour is extremely popular for boating and sailing, with scores of marinas and boatyards. Within Chichester Harbour, you can find an array of tiny villages, including Bosham, with its slew of Roman ruins, and Dell Quay, home to a medieval church and not much else.

Thorney Island

This wild island is located just off the West Sussex mainland, past a narrow channel known as the Great Deep. The island is teeming with native flora and fauna, including various bird species, such as brent geese, oystercatchers, and skylarks. You’ll also discover a 14-kilometre circular coastal path, which starts the Sussex Border Path, a 240-kilometre hiking trail.
