Holiday rentals in Wavertree

We stayed at Rachael and Tom’s beautiful cottage for two nights to celebrate our sons 3rd birthday and visit Chester Zoo! The cottage itself is gorgeous! Parking at the rear for one vehicle. A great garden which was perfect for our dog. Lovely kitchen with everything we needed to be able to make our own breakfast on a morning. Great quality appliances. There were even some complimentary gifts which was lovely. Very comfortable and cosy living room and the conservatory was perfect to set up all of our sons presents for the big day! Beautiful bedrooms upstairs, love the decor! Very comfortable beds. The bed in the main bedroom is enormous and so comfy! I’m really going to miss that as that was the best sleep we have had in ages! Perfectly situated for the Zoo which was just a ten minute drive away. We visited two local places for evening meals, our recommendation would be The Shrewsbury Arms! Thank you both for having us! Great place for us to stay near family. Great amount of space for us as a family of 5 with everything you need! Bread bacon and eggs were left for us as well. Would deff stay again!

Amanda's place was perfect as a base as we attended a church convention over the weekend. The house was welcoming and cosy and had unique furnishings which we loved. Plenty of room for us all to have a bed each and great to have two bathrooms amongst four women. Amanda's instructions were clear and understandable, thanks for making our stay easy and for letting us know one of us had forgotten our makeup bag! Definitely recommend.

With only a few notes, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Works and give it 5 stars. Firstly, I made the mistake of not watching their video on finding the key box to the entrance lobby. Second, our Uber driver couldn’t find the exact location and we had to walk almost a block trying to find the small number (partially my fault for not watching their video though I expected our local driver to know better). The lift had just been repaired when we arrived and did go out of service once for a few hours but was quickly repaired. And we mistakenly assumed the front door locked on its own like a hotel door and were greeted by a young stranger in our kitchen one morning who’d mistaken our flat for his own. All things our fault, but you might make the same mistakes. The clear “door” in the ensuite bathroom created some privacy issues. And lastly, though the space wasn’t listed with a bidet, I struggle to understand why any place wouldn’t slap on a $35 bidet in 2025.

The visiting was a highlight of the stay. Close and driving distance to plenty of things such as the zoo, Costco, and blue planet.

We stayed at Sonya’s place whilst having renovations done to our house and it was perfect for the hat we needed. The house is really clean, comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed. The downstairs furniture has been upgraded and is actually better than the photos. Really good location for Woolton village amenities, pubs etc and short walk to woolton woods for walking the dog. Sonya is a great host, friendly, responsive and helpful check-in instructions. Easy to find the place and check in. Would definitely recommend.

The apartment is exactly as described. It was clean and spacious. There were several nice extras, like milk/cream, coffee, shortbread cookies. Nice outside patio too. The location is absolutely perfect. Easy walk to both the Albert Docks, and Liverpool One, downtown, tour buses, restaurants, and bars. We walked every where at all hours. Always felt safe. Communication with Mark and Frances was great. The only problem (and it wasn’t the hosts) is the elevator didn’t work. This was not usually a problem except when carrying stuff up and down especially luggage. If a guest had mobility issues it would have been difficult .

Wow, what a beautiful place. So tranquil and finished to such a high standard. Olivia and Anna ensured that communication before our arrival, including excellent directions, we're thorough and timely. The cottage itself was beautiful, clean and homely with everything we needed to make our stay perfect. We were 2 couples and the lay out meant we had plenty of room to be together and the 2 bedrooms with ensuite gave us privacy too. Hot tub was immaculate, well maintained and plenty big enough for 4. Lots of places within easy drive and we walked to The Hare and Hounds for Sunday lunch in around 20 mins. Would definately recommend and will be back.

So chuffed we found this place! As a group of 7 girls we had plenty of room, great location for nearby walks and easy access to eat/drink out. The novelty of the animals around the house was really fun and the house itself was lovely. Very comfy, had everything we needed and the luxury of the hot tub was an added plus. Julia was really great with all the information prior to arrival and the gentleman who look after the animals were super friendly. Would love to go back and would highly recommend.
