Cottage holiday rentals in Alto Alentejo

very nice house to be with friends. it worked perfectly for 3 couples and 4 children. with proper heating for the cold. outdoor area for good for playing with children. kitchen equipped with appliances to be able to feel at home.

We picked it up to escape the routine, and we were quite surprised by everything, both the house, and the place it was located (in the middle of the mountain), and the kindness of the hosts. It's a very cozy place and helps to disconnect a lot of things. We don't have any sticks, we'll be back!!

We had a super magic time in Eleonore’s and «Miguel’s eco-house in the middle of cork chains and eucalyptus trees. We felt immediatly at home. It is a peacefull and charming place where you listen to the sound of the birds and the wind in the trees, look the stars, feel the nature around. Leonor and Miguel are incredible hosts: very friendly and helpfull, ready to give you the best places to go to eat and go to the beaches. And we have ending our stay with a marvelous diner all together. We strongly recommand their place for a restfull, lovely and magic holiday !

We enjoyed the beautiful house and view very much. Very stylishly decorated and really authentic. If you want peace and quiet it is the perfect place!

We spent the weekend and the accommodation is beautiful, super well-equipped. Ana was attentive from the start and responded quickly to everything I asked. I would definitely stay here again, we were super comfortable.

Carmen's home was an amazing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The grounds were beautiful, peaceful and private. My four kids had lots of fun exploring the yard around the house and my husband and I loved soaking up the sun and the surrounding nature. We also enjoyed walking along the local lanes and seeing all the area had to offer. The interior of the house was cozy and we greatly enjoyed sitting around the fire in the evening and the beds and linens were very comfortable. We had such a lovely time and definitely want to repeat our visit in the future. Carmen was a lovely and attentive host.

Cozy and traditional cottage located in a beautiful estate in the Sierra de Huelva. Ideal to get away and with hiking trails and very nice towns a few kilometers away.

Nice stay over Easter. Great for dogs - we went on nice walk down the quiet lanes. 25 minutes to the beach.

This beautifully updated traditional stone house exceeded our expectations in pretty much every way! It is quaint but with everything we needed for our 3-night stay, including good heat (which we used due to the chilly weather). We gave all 5s except one 4 because the house is right next to the road. The 18" thick walls in the house keep the noise to a minimum and the road is not busy at all, so no big deal. The host prepared a super-helpful booklet of nearby sights and restaurants that we referred to regularly (in both Portuguese and English). We can't recommend this place highly enough!

We didn't expect that much!Licinia was a spectacular host!He has been pending from the very first minute,approached to introduce himself,and to say goodbye,he had some details for our kids for Easter. Honestly, very friendly!The house is great, super clean,modern, in comfort. I love the decoration,it has been done with affection and taste. I have only good words. The area is very nice,we loved Portugal and its people!There are so many things to do and see(Dinoparc, Lourinhã, Mafra,Peniche,Lisboa, Morinhos that are next door, José Franco's Village etc)we were looking forward to coming back!We recommend it!

Tiago's place was the perfect antidote to a couple of days in beautiful and busy Lisbon. If you're looking for peace, then this is the place for sure. All we could hear throughout the days and nights was the wind in the trees, and birds. And speaking of which, this part of Portugal is famous for its storks - who you'll find nesting in abundance around the area. Amazing. There's a hammock to read or sleep in, as well as various places to hang out in the extensive garden. Perfect for chilling! The house has everything you need, and when we entered the kitchen, we found red wine, beers, fruit, and cheese; all for us. I can't recommend this place highly enough. And when you venture out south to the beautiful countryside of Comporta, you'll find deserted beaches (at least when were there in early May - off season) as far as the eye can see. We will be coming back.. maybe every year!

I enjoyed staying in Casavadia I, the strong point of the space is definitely the location in a space surrounded by nature and with a beautiful sunset. I loved the fact that I could take my two songs with me! I would also like to highlight the easy communication with Joana who always answered us promptly and with the greatest delicacy, proving to be very receptive to the feedback we gave her. The space is definitely not suitable for people who are bothered by insects taking into account the location of the house, and I strongly advise them to take mosquito and tick repellents! Under these circumstances, it is indispensable that if they bring animals, they have external deworming on time! That said, I strongly advise this accommodation for those who want a vacation in a place surrounded by nature, highlighting its proximity to beautiful places like Melides lagoon and Santo André lagoon!

Idyllic setting, superb house, very well equipped, impeccable linens, terrace and pool well oriented, perfect barbecue area for cold evenings, we had a great time. Fernanda welcomed us very warmly and was proactive with our questions/requests. Small downside however concerning the pool filtration system which did not work properly, the skimmer was more than useful so as not to swim among the insects… We would recommend this house and hope to return soon. One of those places that look better in real life than the pictures on the app. Superb location, there are many attractions in 20 km range - castles, caves, amazing beaches, great restaurants. The apartment is fully equipped and has everything you need - a stove, coffee maker, cutlery, dishes, salt, even olive oil. Paulo and his family even provided us with some fresh goods from their garden. We also used their outdoor grill, it was fun. The sheep and the toys are on the spot and kept our kids occupied in the morning. Great stay, fully recommended! P.S. try coffee and pastries at the cafe next to local bombeiros!

Amazing place to stay surrounded by nature! Place has everything that you need so all your needs are covered for 100500%! Elio is super helpful, he was caring about us and helping if we had some questions! He recommended so many great places around that we need one more vacation to visit all of them 😅 It’s the place you want to go back again and again ☺️

Mrs Dulce was super antenciosa with us, we enjoyed our stay very much, it was a pity for the rainy weather that did not allow us to enjoy the outdoor space that was spectacular.

We loved everything about our stay. Diogo was so friendly and welcoming to us. Our daughter was ecstatic to feed the animals every morning and Diogo was so kind to her. The surroundings are unbelievable. Very calm, peaceful, beautiful and so much attention to detail. The still warm fresh baked bread dropped off in the mornings was delicious. We were sad to leave!

Very quiet and nice place. It is a house divided into four, with independent entrance each, but all joined together. The hosts (very nice ) live there too and you cross over with the neighbors around the garden. You convict with animals. Good location if you are driving. No TV, good to disconnect. Ideal for spending a few days in nature.

What a lovely place to stay. Spotless, quiet, comfortable and so welcoming. Cool evening when we arrived and we enjoyed the lovely stove with unlimited wood. Lots of little walks around. Excellent host. Welcoming milk, butter, bread and eggs. Unlimited coffees and teas. And to top it all, a jar of Joãs’s very own delicious honey. A real retreat. Thank you!
