Holiday rentals with lake access in Alto Alentejo

The location of the apartment is exactly as I had hoped - in a peaceful, quiet area and within a walkable distance to local supermarkets (including Aldi & Lidl). There were a couple of incidents (one of which was totally unforeseeable), but both of these were dealt with immediately by ‘Victoria’ who manages the property for Julien. Victoria was excellent. The only slight negative, as I’m a very light sleeper, was the thinness of the dividing walls. You can hear the neighbours moving around. They are extremely quiet after about 8:00pm, but when the family gets up at 6:45am to get the kids to school, the noise starts. It does, however, go quiet again about an hour later. If you sleep like a log, this won’t be an issue for you. Other than that, the surrounding area is stunning. Access to the North to places such as Lisbon, Nazaré, Peniche is easy (with a hire car). The same applies to Setubal and Sesimbra to the South.

The house is very well located, for those looking for a quiet stay and in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect for hiking, bike riding or water sports. The house is very well maintained and has everything you need for a great stay. We'll be back for sure.

Our stay went well, the home was very welcoming and it was just like the photos. We were greeted with bread, a bottle of wine and olives that were very good. The quiet area is ideal for resting, with an excellent patio for dining outdoors and not forgetting the jacuzzi. Dona Maria was very lovely, we were very welcome. Thank you so much for this pleasant stay.

Florbela’s place is beautiful and serene , we had a great time …. Enjoyed the river , the garden with all the fresh vegetables, and the lemons / oranges from the trees . Most exceptional was our host Florbela: even before we arrived she helped us plan everything, met us at the house ( we arrived on Christmas Day ), gave us a tour of the place , left us with a freshly cooked delicious pot of soup , and stocked the house with breakfast supplies that lasted the whole week . She made sure we received freshly baked bread every morning, and personally chose pastries to be delivered for our breakfast. Very generous and thoughtful, The best host we have ever had . We will back for sure , in the summer … And we highly recommend her place for anyone looking for an authentic, fun experience in central Portugal .

We had a fantastic time at Herdade do Montum. The host was super responsive and easy to communicate with. The house is a little gem, very cosy and beautiful, and the surroundings are lovely, very green and quiet. We had both dinner and breakfast at the Herdade, and both were delicious. Highly recommend a stay here for a couple of days to recharge and enjoy a quiet holiday!

lovely hosts. a little small for a party of 4 if you stay longer, but still ok. great garden, close to amazing beaches. we just thought it will be a dedicated house, not an apartment a you may believe looking at the advertisement. we enjoyed it nethertheless and especially the hosts are the best

Pros: + great check-in experience, hospitality + all facilities present and are in fairly good condition + feels that apartment is being held with love + very comfortable flat and disposition for 2+2 + good public transport reach-ability (Cacilhas hub right nearby) Cons (mostly minors): - poor surroundings - moldy washing machine - you will hear everything, bad sound isolation in the house Overall, we're happy with our choice to stay in the Nest, it feels like one of the top places to stay in/near Lisbon.

Good part of the city centre. Very close to a supermarket if you are self catering. Good area. Loved our stay there. Oh, and 2 brollies were provided because it can rain!

Cozy apartment right in the middle of the most happening area of Lisbon. You cannot go wrong with this place. The apartment itself is beautifully designed with all the amenities you could ask for. The neighborhood is packed with really good restaurants and bars. Walkable distance from all major spots. All modes of public transport are just a few minutes away. Would definitely go back if ever in Lisbon again.

We had a lovely stay—5 gal pals away to celebrate a milestone birthday year. They were kind enough to let us check in early and drop off our luggage, as we had flights that arrived a few hours before regular check in. The apartment is big and airy. Very walkable location with lots to do nearby. Very happy with our stay, thanks for everything!

Lydia is a very attentive and attentive owner. The check-in went very well, with simple and clear guidelines. The place is perfect, everything is fine, like in a hotel, and in a very quiet place. The setting is exceptional, with the golf course at the back of the accommodation! a big thank you also to Lydia who solved the damage following the passage of Storm Marthino, so that we can enjoy the terrace as soon as possible. The house was very well located, close to the beach with a parking lot closeby We have enjoyed our time and particularly the barbecue. If you are doing kitesurf it’s a very nice spot, just in front of one of the spots so you can go walking.

We felt very comfortable in Thais house and had a great time there. We especially loved the garden and the garage full of toys - our child had so much fun! The house was perfect for families. We also found it very easily, and the nearby beaches are absolutely beautiful. Communication with Paula was quick and uncomplicated.

Million dollar view, amazing area and peaceful place to have a great time to enjoy our vacation

This is a lovely cottage with a private walled garden. There's a good variety plants - fresh mint, banana trees, various flowers, a lovely place to relax after a busy day exploring. There is a gas barbeque and a large garden table for dinner. The hot tub is a real bonus! The cottage is tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. We appreciated the fruit basket, bread and jam. We recommend booking the hot springs in Evora and having a massage. Google inacquaveritas We highly recommend Carlos place - one not to be missed!

I was extremely satisfied with my stay! The space exceeded my expectations — very clean, well decorated and with all the details thought out in detail to provide comfort and well-being. Supermarkets 5min from the house, which is amazing. Communication was always easy and quick, and I felt very well received. It was a really pleasant experience and no doubt it would repeat again. I recommend to 100%!

We had a brilliant time at Canto Do Zêzere - the house is really clean, spacious and comfortable, and the lakeside location is absolutely stunning. Boating on the lake was a highlight! We would definitely come back again.

This is a great space in a real out-of-the-way part of Portugal. Tired of big city tourism? Try this property. Tiny villages dot the hills and you get an old world sense of Portugal here. The pool is the real star of the property here (as are Eric's three dogs, one of which lounged with us each morning) as it overlooks he view of the river. We did use the kayaks as well. It is hard to get to them down a very steep hill with ladders and a bit of minor repelling. Not for those with a bad knee or hip. Which gets me to, accessing the apartments, particularly the lower unit, is tricky. Steep, slanting and uneven steps that can be a little slippery. Perhaps not for the elderly. Hint for improvement would be to upgrade the furnishings and kitchenware. The knives couldn't cut an orange.

It was a great stay! Five stars, very quiet, stylish apartment, beautiful landscape, we love the horses and dogs. Service (vegetables, eggs etc.) was wonderful too. Thanks a lot, Celine, Angélica and husband!
