Beachfront holiday rentals in Ameland

The Charlet is very nice and located directly on the water. Small but it had everything you need. Very idyllic and quiet location. Definitely worth a visit!

It was a very nice cottage and so perfectly located. The owner acted very kindly when there were misunderstandings with payments. And also during the stay she was very available and helpful. Highly recommended. Nice bed, nice fenced garden for the dog, cozily furnished.

The communication with the landlord went smoothly. The place was very nice and clean. The car could be parked directly at the chalet. All around, we enjoyed it.

What a wonderful week we had with a total of 6 adults and two dogs. A super cozy and lovingly furnished cottage, enough space for everything and everyone, everything equally comfortable. A special place, the fabulous weather also cooperated, but even in less good weather this would have been wonderful and cozy. Lots to do, both in Moddergat itself and in the area, and then you don't have to drive far - both Dokkum and the Lauwersmeer area are great. Tip: go sailing with the men of the ZK9 (leave from Lauwersoog). And what a paradise for the dogs and for birdwatchers!! We'd love to come back. Thank you Gwen and Marieke that we were also allowed to be guests in your uniquely beautiful cottage!

Great place, very clean and cozy, you felt right at home in the chalet. The location was a bit secluded and you had to drive longer for things to do/shopping because there was not much going on there. Unfortunately, prices are only a little too expensive for all the possibilities. Overall, we still had a great few days together & thank you Nicole for the uncomplicated conversation. ☀️❤️

Small but practical apartment in a fantastic place by the beach and close to the village

Melissa was very friendly and accommodating. The accommodation was super nice and sufficient for us as a small family. The lighthouse, beach and small town of Hollum were within walking distance. We recommend exploring the island by bike as everything is really quick to reach. We definitely recommend the accommodation and will also be happy to come back.

Were there with 2 small children, we felt very comfortable. However, the beach was a bit far away for our feeling, within walking distance. Surroundings/location very very nice. Contact and communication with the host was very nice, quick and straightforward.

What is the house in a unique location! It is very clean and cozy. It's great to be able to walk right into nature. It's also nice that there are two terraces, so you have more opportunities to sit outside sheltered.

We had a great stay! The apartment is clean and very well equipped (especially the kitchen). We didn't find the volume bad, as written in other reviews. You can hear normal everyday noises, as usual in hotel complexes. But probably also the neighbors you have right now. Overall, we are very satisfied.

We had a lovely week with our 3rd children during the autumn holidays. In bad weather, a beautiful indoor playground awaits the children. In nice weather there are several playgrounds and a petting zoo :). In great weather, the lake and beach are waiting for you. ;) Aletta was always available for us and gave us good tips.

We loved our stay in Ameland. Had contact with our host in advance, which went very well. The apartment was like described and well clean. We had a nice time and if we were to go back to Ameland, we would definitely come back here again!

Wonderful five days before Christmas can get a breath of fresh air and then warm up in this cozy bungalow. Amenities within walking distance. Marjan is a great host, responds quickly.

We had a great time at the house in Ballum and on Ameland! The house is as described and for us it was just right with 2 families and with grandma! Great that everything is at ground level and there were two bathrooms and three toilets! There was everything we needed! We would come back!

We had wonderful days on Ameland with our dog. Petra's accommodation was top, with all the comforts and especially the kitchen very cozy! Ideal for hiking with the dog right from the house. And a few minutes walk to the supermarket. Beach easy to reach by car or bike.

Very cozy beach atmosphere in the caravan!! Plenty of places inside and outside for 6 adults. Sleeping is tight for 6 large adults, the bunk beds are small. The sofa can serve as a bed, with tall adults that can offer a solution. Fantastic bicycles to borrow and all the attributes available for a wonderfully relaxed stay. Initial supplies and cleaning products are also available.

The choice is huge when looking for a villa on Ameland. I am so happy to have arrived at Villa Duinhoeve! A beautiful house with all amenities you need. It is a "warm" and cozy house. The bathroom downstairs and upstairs are excellent. It is also nice that the bathroom upstairs has a lovely bath. The beds/mattresses are of good quality. With 8 people it is really very easy to do, the house is so spacious that you really don't get in each other's way. The communication with the host is great! After check-in, a friendly app or everything is to your liking. Also during the stay, everything can and may be requested from the Landlord. On the day of checkout, we even got a message that we didn't have to go before 10 a.m. because the cleaning lady didn't come until the afternoon. Everything is also easily accessible by foot such as; village Nes, Beach, restaurant, supermarket. The cabin was the perfect size for the two of us and especially the proximity to the beach has made it the perfect accommodation for a relaxing holiday on Ameland! The toilets are easy to reach and also in the city you are in a relaxed 8 minutes by bike. The other campsite visitors can be well hidden by the privacy screen. We were also very lucky with the weather, which makes the tent quite warm during the day, but the area in front and the beach all the more beautiful!

We stayed there with two toddlers for a week. The bike shop in Ballum is close and you can easily get around the island by bike and trailer. The beach in Ballum is close - but you still have to walk a whole stretch to the sea, next time we'll take a wagon with us. The neighbourhood is quite and friendly. We had very relaxing days

What a very beautiful, nice, spacious, comfortable and lovely house! Really everything you need is there, including nice bikes to explore the island with. The house is quiet and nicely located and close to the beach. Jurjen was very friendly and super flexible. We would love to come back and highly recommend this house!
