The largest Central Swiss ski resort in Andermatt is only a 15-minute drive from the house. The magnificent view of the glacier-clad mountains and the square around the house invites you to linger.

The place is very comfortable and full of charm, and has everything you may need on a holiday (even candles, fondue apparel and burning alcohol). It is also very clean and located in a beautiful place, surrounded by the mountains. Peter was very welcoming and helpful, on our first night in the chalet he brought us additional coffee capsules for the next morning as there were only a few left in the house. We were very happy with our stay at Mountain Lodge Uri and hope that one day we can come back and repeat the experience.”

The chalet is one of the original structures in the historic town but it was in excellent shape and was warm, quiet and convenient to the train and shops downtown. Located close to the train station and Nätschen ski area, the Gemsstockbahn is also within walking distance. Local bus would also be available. Restaurants for the evening very easy to reach on foot. Communication with James is very good, he always answers questions promptly. We liked it very much, we would love to come back.”
