Comber Courtyard Apartment

The apartment consists of 1 double room with ensuite, 1 twin room, a main bathroom including corner bath, spacious open-plan kitchen/ living/ dining with feature stone wall. A sofa bed accommodates one or two at a squeeze at a small laundering surcharge. The apartment also offers satellite TV, video, DVD player and USB iPod facility. There is free on street parking adjacent on High St. The Apartment is a sympathetically restored first floor part of an early Victorian street house. It's Courtyard houses a delightful Cafe (The Goose) where you can try their fresh coffees, teas and scones (the warm cinnamon scone with melted butter is to die for!), breakfasts and lunches. Browse the jewellery at Tiffany's, or spoil yourself with a wash and blow dry, massage or nail bar at the Courtyard Salon directly downstairs. The Deli by Indie Fude stocks only Irish produce with an emphasis on Northern Irish. There are award winning handmade chocolates, cheeses, pickles, beef and much much more! Finally there is The Craft Room representing the North Down Creative Collective, some 12 craftspeople making a unique collection of handcrafted items. You have access to a fully fitted kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. There are two bathrooms, both with basin, shower and toilet. The main bathroom also includes a corner bath. There is instant gas water and central heating, and a free starter allowance of units for both gas and electric. There is free satellite TV with access to DVD. We have a washing machine, condenser dryer and clothes horse for drying. For fast drying there is a local dry cleaners who will tumble dry for a small charge. There is a Wifi facility but not high speed. We welcome our guests on arrival and leave info@combercourtyard.com email and a mobile number they can ring us on at any time. We call with our guests to ensure all is well and service the Apartment once a week to clean and replace used laundry. Comber is a small town and locals like to meet our visitors! There are great Cafés and Restaurants within walking distance and beyond. We have several artisan makers in the town, including Discovery Glass where Irene makes jewellery and other pieces to order, Winnie Magee who makes designer linen rainwear and The Dog House creative gallery where Pamela makes her own range of jewellery. We have a lovely selection of different walks: Scrabo Country Park park and woodland, Castle Espie bird sanctuary, Nendrum monastic site and the town's Titanic Trail (the ill-fated ship's designer, who went down with the ship leaving behind his young wife and child, came from a prominent Comber family). Buses run regularly to Belfast City centre though outside peak hours the frequency isn't high. We are uniquely located on the outskirts of Belfast, 20 minutes by car from the city centre, Titanic Belfast, Belfast City Airport and more. But also 20 minutes from Mount Stewart (one of the National Trust's key properties), Lisburn and Bangor. With the whole of Strangford Lough and the Mourne Mountains within an hour and the Giants Causeway, Derry, Fermanagh and the beautiful Glens of Antrim all accessible in well under 2 hours, we are a good place to have as a touring base. Comber has it's own Farmers Market every 1st Thursday in the month with lots of local goodies. We have access to a number of activities. From golf to sailing, fishing to kayaking, cycling to Motorsport and flying (helicopters and small aircraft) it's all on our doorstep! And if this exhausts you there is some great shopping in the Belfast, Lisburn and Bangor areas! We also have 2 major Outlet Villages within 3/4 of an hour if you are looking for good bargains! There are several local multi screen cinemas and there are always live shows in Belfast with many international names. There is a lively nightlife culture especially at the weekends in Belfast and Dublin is an easy 2 hour drive away.

An open-plan living area is displayed, featuring a modern kitchen with dark cabinetry and light countertops. Comfortable seating is provided by a plush gray sofa. A gaming station is seen in the corner, alongside a large black refrigerator and glass doors that lead to an outdoor space.
