Castle Residence Lake Maggiore

Elegant building with access to the river below It was built in 1023 as a fortified residence for the Da Castello counts, to guard the nearby Motto Castle. In 1300, part of the castle was demolished, and using its granite blocks, the residence was extended at various times and decorated with frescoes in the 18th century. The apartment, measuring over 300 square metres, features coffered ceilings, bathrooms and a kitchen finished with marble from Milan Cathedral, and high-quality antique furnishings. From the balcony and the terrace, there is a stunning view of the river and the mountains.
