Beachfront holiday rentals in Au Sable Township

We loved the beautiful lake views and that we could bring our dog with us. Stargazing while enjoying s’mores at the fire pit was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Sarah's place was a dream. My husband and I stayed for my birthday weekend in April 2025 with our toddler and infant. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. We loved the huge kitchen with space to cook our own Easter meal, decorate eggs, and spread out all of our children's Easter goodies on the large dining table. The kitchen and living area are the best parts of the home -- spacious, clean, and free of clutter. We loved waking up each morning to the lake view along with the accessibility of the grill and hot tub just steps from the kitchen/dining/living area. Sarah was a proactive and welcoming host, and did everything she could to try to make it right when we found the coffeemaker missing (a previous guest had broken it, and it was being replaced). This is a remote location perfect for getting away from the city, but Tawas is a quick 30-40 minute drive away with a cute downtown, pier, and state park. We definitely felt rejuvenated after our stay -- thank you!!!

Pros- Stunning views from the living area to the lake. Plenty of sandy beach front with all the rocks you would ever want in the water. Impressively clean and beds were made like you were at a 5 star resort. Kim has raised the bar for being a host with Airbnb!! Kim is a 5 star host and thought of everything to make our stay like it was our home. Cons- I don’t have anything negative to say regarding the host, the cabin, the cleanliness, and the location. Kim mentioned this is not baby or child proof; the only concern I would have if I brought little ones would be the outside. There are steep steps down to the beach. Every house in this area has just as many steps down from the house to the beach. Plenty of beach area once you are there, just keep in mind if you pick up rocks, you will have to carry those up the steps.

We had a wonderful stay! The home is perfect, clean and spacious. It was just what we needed for a fun girls weekend! Mike is SO nice, responsive and easy to communicate with. He certainly wants you to enjoy your stay! Cannot wait to visit again!

We LOVED this place and will return! We came during Thanksgiving week and it snowed that night and it was wonderful waking up seeing snow on the ground and on the lake. It was beautiful sipping coffee looking out the window. Our dog Luna loved it too and the snow! Patrick, the host, thought of everything you could need. We loved the book they put together telling us all the things we could do. It was like a road map to Atlanta. They responded to any of our needs quickly. We will come back again in the summer to take advantage of the boats to fish!

Perfect place to spend the weekend! House is small, but furnished perfectly, you do not feel cramped in any way! Beautiful views, nice pool and hot tub also! So glad we found this airbnb! I’d give 10 stars if possible.

The lease agreement is lengthy never had to do that for a 2 day stay and I’m not sure of the rationale. You have to pay and sign before getting the access code to the place. The description does say to ask if you have questions about the agreement before paying and I wish I would have but overall it was not a problem. The description is accurate; must bring your own sheets, bath towels, hand towels, soaps, shampoo, etc. They do provide dishes and silverware. Beach chairs and fire pit are right across the street. Lovedddd staying here in October it felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. I would definitely stay here again!!

Aaron’s place was wonderful. Quiet and relaxing and loved the view across the road at the private beach on beautiful Lake Huron. Aaron answered all of our questions quickly and recommended places to for dinner. Beds were comfortable after long days of golfing 😀 We definitely would stay again at Aaron’s cabin

House was clean and spacious. Parking was great for car or small trailer, tight parking for trailers over 18ft in the winter. Mallard road is not fully plowed. Overall was great for my needs.

Walk out basement to the few steps to get to the beach area. Well stocked kitchen. Recommend bringing your own water if desired ( well water I believe) . Beautiful sunsets. Game room was fun .. bring quarters to play though . Highly recommend

loved staying here! the private beach was beautiful, amazing, and beyond my expectations. glad we read reviews and decided to bring a couple extra fans to keep the air moving in the cabin on the hot days, and was grateful for the sauna, hot tub and indoor pool on the cooler days. would absolutely stay here again!

This place is absolute heaven! The sound of the waves from Lake Huron can be heard from the house which is delightful. The property is hidden away with a giant slice of sandy lakeshore. A short walk up the beach brings you to some of the best rockhounding that Michigan is known for. On the last day of our stay there was a power outage in the area which is NOT a regular occurrence, and our host Dan was super communicative and helped us deal with the unexpected glitch. Thanks again Dan! Our 2 rowdy dogs were wonderfully exhausted after 4 days here, and we are definitely planning on visiting again.

Our stay was at a time of the year most probably wouldn't care too much to use the beach—it was cold and rainy in March. But I would say the beach is BEAUTIFUL in the rain and with gray skies. They view from the plentiful windows was so peaceful and the house was warm and comforting. When we walked along the beach at sunset, we saw about 11 deer a ways off, also on the beach. It was magical. I imagine the vibe in cold weather is much different than in warm, but equally special. There were birds and fat squirrels to watch, tea and coffee to drink, etc. I hope to stay at this location someday in the future, with more of my loved ones!

Had an amazing long weekend - place was beautiful with clean, simple, beach decor. Amazing beach with chairs, toys, kayaks, fire pit, hammocks, umbrella, you name it…. Hot tub was clean and it being built into the deck was super convenient. Guest house was adorable and perfect for my little brother. Host was so responsive and helpful. 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, would highly recommend.

Cozy cabin in a good location

A great stay for our family of 9. The place could have been a little cleaner, as there were lots of cobwebs and dust. But the view and beach were excellent! Owner is slow to respond to messages but was quick to respond back to a phone call when we had an issue.

Jody is the ultimate host. She is a wonderful person and is there for you if you have any concerns. This was our second time at her house as we stayed there last year also. We feel like we’re at our home when we’re there. Just something about it like sitting and eating in the beautiful big back yard on the deck, or sitting at the kitchen table looking at Lake Huron and the back woods. It makes you appreciate being with your family and just enjoying each other’s company.

We so enjoyed our stay at Denise's house! It was very clean and looked exactly like the pictures. The house was cozy and cute and decorated very nicely. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed which was great as we cooked multiple meals in it. We loved that there was a private beach within walking distance. The location was great as well, as it was between Port Austin and Caseville so we could travel to both with ease. The bed might be one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept on. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks so much Denise.
