“Roger is an extremely thoughtful and communicative host. The place is sparkling clean, has all the amenities you would need, and located in a sweet neighbourhood not far from the lake and mountains. We unfortunately arrived late after 23:00, and Roger very kindly waited to greet us for a smooth check-in; he had also left us a note and a parting chocolate gift, which we loved waking up to! The only very minor thing to note if you are a light sleeper is that there were some church bells that went off in the morning, so maybe bring some ear plugs, just in case :-) Thank you again, Roger!”

“Despite booking at short notice, the organization of our arrival and communication went well. The hosts and the accommodation are well organized and very flexible thanks to self-check-in. A small but very well thought-out and tastefully furnished place to stay as a starting point for voyages of discovery in north-east Switzerland with a great view of Lake Constance: that holiday feeling from the first glance. Michael and Martin are very personable, courteous and pleasant hosts, the accommodation is in top shape and clean. We felt comfortable and enjoyed almost a week in Walzenhausen. Excursions to the lake and into the mountains, ideal starting point. Thank you for the hospitality with a personal touch. In one word: recommended.”
Unser Haus, umgeben von Bäumen und doch fast im Dorfzentrum, ist vor ca. 140 Jahren im typischen Biedermeierstil erbaut worden. Das grosszügige Holzhaus wurde in all den Jahre nur wenig verändert und widerspiegelt noch heute eine vorausblickende und weltoffene Generation. Ganz in diesem Sinne heissen wir Gäste aus nah und fern willkommen.
“We stayed one night at Elizabeth's, it was perfect. We stayed at a room on the second floor, there are a shared bathroom and a convenient small kitchen on the same floor. The room is very cozy with a comfy bed, plants and retro furniture. From there you have a wonderful view overlooking the village and the lake. The location is super quiet, the only sound you hear is the cows' bells in the fields. Elizabeth was quick to respond and very helpful, she helped us dry our stuff when we arrived having been soaked by a rainshower in Konstanz. She also gave us tips for bathing spots at the lake. I would definitely recomment this place if you want a beautiful, cozy, quiet place near the Bodensee.”
