There is a very nice restaurant and pizzeria nearby, and Billa, Penny and others are available for shopping. The Markthaus is a historic gem and is a listed building, designated as the first hostel in Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the castle ruin on the romantic Malerweg. The vaulted cellar and foundation walls date back to 1527. The main house was built in 1734 and operated as a rest stop, post office and inn. In 1850, a massive extension was built in the classicist style. Röhringer ran the Hotel Sächsische Schweiz here.

Our apartment is centrally and quietly located in a side street of Bärenstein. The apartment is on the first floor. The upper floor is occasionally used by the landlord. The apartment has a living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen and a balcony. A fireplace is available for cozy hours (wood can be purchased on request for a small fee). There are three bedrooms. A baby crib can be provided on request. Vehicles can be parked directly in front of the apartment.
