“We very much enjoyed our time at the carriage house. It had everything we required and suited our needs of a mountain getaway well. You are well located between many outdoorsy things to do in the area. Leslie and her family are very welcoming. Their house is right there, but we very rarely saw them. We were there over the 4th and she graciously offered sparklers to our kids (who were thrilled). Leslie always responds right away through the AirBnB messages. There is no cell service (at least for my AT&T) but the Wifi kept us connected as we needed to be. The animals at the farm are great and provided a lot of joy to my children, especially the friendly grey cat. There is a tree swing behind the house & a nice path down the hill through the woods to the river. We brought life jackets, water shoes and tubes for the kids and they had fun jumping around on rocks as well as splashing around down there in the evenings after returning from our adventure of the day... they even rode their tubes around safely. The deck is wonderful to enjoy the mountain air any time of day, which was a welcome respite from low country heat & humidity in July. This was the perfect getaway and some friends even joined us for the second half of our trip in the lower apartment. Excellent way to be "together, apart" during the Covid era. We have already started discussing dates to return. I can't imagine even looking for another place to stay in this area. We are ready to become regulars.”
Cozy, quiet cabin with spectacular views of the Gorge. A home away from home with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay.
“Jennifer was very responsive & great to work with. The cabin is well-stocked, nicely decorated & very convenient to downtown Blowing Rock. We really enjoyed the porch & the long-range mountain views! We were there for just a few days & it was perfect for us. There is not much storage space in the queen bedroom, so that might be a little bit challenging for a longer stay.”
Rustic cabin with covered deck overlooking a rushing creek within 15-20 minutes of Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk & Blue Ridge Parkway. A great way to experience "glamping" --where stunning nature meets modern luxuries. You'll be tucked away on 30 acres with the comforts of electricity, heat, WiFi, and cooking accommodations . Bathroom is only 30 yards from the cabin. Sleeping space for 2 adults & 1-2 small kids. AWD/4-wheel drive strongly recommended December-March in case of snow.
“Pictures do not do justice for this cabin or property. The creek is right in front of the porch and I loved to sit and listen to it, it’s so peaceful. It’s an absolutely beautiful piece of property. The bathhouse isn’t far at all behind the cabin so it was very convenient. We loved the doggie! If you want a great clamping experience, this is definitely it!”
