Gadestatt is a traditional Maiensäss. A Maiensäss is a cultural peculiarity of Swiss history. These simple but beautiful wooden buildings used to be inhabited on the Alps during the summer. From here the cows were guarded and cheese was made from fresh milk. Gadestatt offers you an authentic overnight accommodation with lots of charm and attention to detail. In the heart of the Emmental, the tiny house/barrel house is in a quiet location right next to an old Emmental farm with wonderful views of the entire Bernese Alps. The barrel cabin offers individuals as well as 2 to 4 people a great place to stay. In the farmhouse there is a furnished kitchen, toilet and shower available (approx. 65 meters away). Right next to the accommodation is a hot tub with massage jets and LED lighting for free use.
