The Estate under the Abbey

A cozy gîte (43m2) located in the countryside 5 minutes away from the horse town of Pompadour. Here you will find a beautiful castle, racecourse, eateries, terraces and shops. There are nice villages nearby, with markets, hiking trails, swimming lake and swimming pools within driving distance. The gîte has a private parking space and an enclosed garden. Pets are allowed in consultation. We charge a surcharge for this (please indicate when booking). Parties/indoor smoking and vaping are not allowed.

Pompadour Charming House

The cottage sits in it's own grounds of just under 2 acres with a small forest to the rear and backs on to local apple orchards. There are two double bedrooms (both bedrooms have cooling fans for summer and heaters for winter) a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge, microwave etc an open plan diner and comfortable lounge. There is french and english satellite TV, Wi-fi Internet and there is a covered terrace which faces south for outdoor dining.

Lovely cosy cottage for one or two set on our little French farm in the beautiful and peaceful North Dordogne countryside. The cottage is nestled in 30 acres of fields and woodland where you can watch our many animals pottering around enjoying their sunny French retirement! We are halfway between the pretty villages of Mialet and Saint-Jory-de-Chalais which are well serviced with shops, bars, restaurants and boulangeries. Both villages are less than 5 minutes by car or 30 minutes on foot.
